Man who’s judging this competition!? Do they have something against the Joji kid? His second run was awesome 👏.
@frens83842 ай бұрын
I think they judged base on a certain style of riding, rather than the overall riding, I think certain tricks count more than others, for example opposite tricks count more than big airs and and stuff like that, I'm pretty sure it's judging more on technicality. Joji is a great rider but overall isn't his runs didn't display a lot of tech. Meanwhile Smile is doing a lot of complicated trick variations and combos.

"boring" teicks, no techincal tricks
@mikezbeatz71222 ай бұрын
@@frens8384 yeah I get that. But if he’s not the right style of rider why even invite him to the competition and not someone like Nathan Williams, Jacob cable, and a dozen other guys I can think of? They gave him a 64 and he executed all his tricks, seems wrong to me.
@dragoblondet78632 ай бұрын

No tech. It's street, though I do think he got scored low he certainly had no medal runs

Joji got absolutely robbed imo technical or not it was clean it was powerful it was difficult. 64 for the 2nd run is a straight up unfair score
@KumSwallaHarris2 ай бұрын
💯. That 2nd run was awesome. And then he did a 540 barspin to half cab tailwhip on that 3rd one like it was nothing 😮
@savvymanX302 ай бұрын
@@cheatlikeacamp easy explanation.. When given the option he jumped using the transitions instead of from the rails. Lil tappy grinds versus full slides or opposite variations, basically looked like a barely qualifying park run from X games '99

@@savvymanX30 that still does not justify a 64 for a full completed clean run when Peraza got a 68 or smth for an incomplete run with 3 slip ups. It’s absolute nonsense to give someone that low a score for what he did.

Judging was so sketchy. Joji got done dirty, he easily should have had 2nd or 3rd with his 2nd run. It was flawless, high energy and had a big variety of tricks. He got beaten by several riders that never managed to put a run together that didn't have a fall in it. Can't trust the X Games judges at all.
@Weather_NerdАй бұрын
Absolutely not. No technical tricks almost at all vs everyone else. Go watch the runs again, see what features he uses and how. I LOVED his runs and riding too and think he was scored a tad low but he had no medal run. I think Courage shouldn't have stepped to the bronze with the foot slip but deserved bronze or silver without it but Joji will have to work on a real street run, he has the talent and style to medal any given year and is brand new to X
