This... this is some beautiful work! I can tell you've come a long way with using Luds like this. Before, it felt like I could "smell your fear", in a way; the easiest way I could tell was the gaps between your attacks. As you get more comfortable, you go from "I better not attack here" to "what else in my arsenal can I fit in that moment before he can attack?" and the range of artes you utilize grows. Really shows the mastery of the character in this aspect. Its something that's usually lost in this game due to power charge 2/3 mechanics, but you're bring it in top form, much more than my take of this one =03. Also didn't know about how the bits were removed. I knew one removed with CC, but never caught onto the other attacks removing the others. Crazy I'm still learning stuff about this game through your run, but that reflects the amount of experience you have in this. Continue the fantabulous work brother =03.

Reducing the amount of "down-time" in my assault was one of the biggest things I was trying to fix when I remade this fight. I think the biggest thing that helped matters was when I realized just how open his back is when he goes for his normal attack. Outside of the random collider silliness, most of his attacks can be completely disrespected outright, knowing this made maintaining a consistent offense a lot easier. Yeah, I had to memorize which arte did what because I noticed that there were a lot of takes where he just wouldn't stop casting and therefore would never get rid of his hammer resistance. I was able to figure out that Collider was the culprit and his spells were the source of his other two resistances. Honestly, Trinity Bit is such a cool gimmick. I just wish it was better telegraphed and that Power Charge's existence didn't completely overshadow it.

What's this? KZbin being based again and recommending this to me? Sweet. I've said it before and I'll say it again: your control over Ludger is beyond exceptional. Even beyond just taking full advantage of Chronos's tech out exploit, the fluid movement, aggression, and the sheer creativeness of combos is something I could only attribute to you. This was a banger to see Arc 1 off with, and will of course be looking forward to seeing Arc 2 and beyond. Keep up this momentum, bro.

Thank you based YT, pulling through for the arc 1 finale. Reading a comment like this really sets it in how far I've come since the old run and the very first Chronos fight I did all those years back. As far as Chronos 1 goes, I'm truly glad I was able to get this fight down in a satisfying fashion and in the way I wanted. I appreciate the high praise my guy, and I aim to deliver the same quality or even stronger when its time for Victor to get his runback.

Ah the true fight versus Chronos. For some reason every fight versus him after this one is way easier. Still it does speak to X2's biggest problem imo: Bosses are either "You combo them to death" or "Death happens constantly" with very little inbetween. If you go into the Bestiary, you can find boss stats have inflated STR and INT. And while Volt might be "Casual play's first wipe", Chronos is "Where casual players stop" since the Dhaos Knockoff can, and will, one shot anyone with Tetra Spell and apply the status aliments to the partner. (since not being linked is a overall disadvantage like not being armatized in Zesty) And to comment on the video: This is amazing to watch Chronos get decked like this.

Actual combos on Chronos pre-Trinity Bit without PC3? 0/10 reported for haxx. But hey, congrats on finding a way so Chronos didn't just Collider you in the face the second you tried to combo! It's definitely satisfying when I remember Collider being the reaper of my soul on Unknown. ;; Will be around for more ;U

I guess with Chronos being one of the few original bosses in this game, they gave him a lot of the properties he had because they knew almost everything after this was just gonna be reuse city lol. I feel like a lot of it also comes down to them designing around power charge 2 and 3 after this too though instead of having them merely as a supplement. This was a really good take by the way, I love how you just absolutely embarrass this guy in the first half by abusing his aerial vulnerability and STILL keep up the offensive when he's resistant to everything instead of playing it safe. Gives the fight a very good tug of war vibe where your both vying for supremacy and there are points where you have the advantage and he does.

That's a good interpretation. I personally wish Power Charge had a bit more nuance around it instead of just "guard for 5 seconds straight, then you win". Maybe if guarding increased overall iron stance damage or something, and breaking iron stance while PC is active would reward you with longer power combo time or something. This fight gives me that fighting game vibe that I crave, haha. Even in Trinity Bit, I wanted to tackle it like it was a barrier that needed whittling down as opposed to a waiting game of "when will he use collider already so I can combo". Looks like it paid off in the end, though.
