Thanks for this video! I had the same problem on my 2001 Xterra. I took it into the shop to have them diagnose it and quote me to fix it. They quoted me almost $700 to replace the high pressure line and the drier. I came home and watched your video and said to myself "I can do that!" I ordered the parts and replaced them myself for $150. Just took my 20 year old Xterra on a 1,000 mile round trip for Memorial Day week and still working great!

Still working a week later, Ice cold! ....Receiver/driers are used in expansion valve equipped A/C systems. It is the job of the receiver/drier to protect the rest of the A/C system against moisture damage if any enters. Really never had a Issue doing it this way. For me , This work most of the time. But if you own a newer auto, its best you take it to a AC pro place and spend $300-700.

good video but a little more info did you put any grease on the o rings and what size the bolts are that you removed, and how much freon it takes to fill it up properly fill it up. overall it was a good , I've ordered my hose in the meantime I plan to start the removal process paying close attention to the bolts and using PBR Blaster on them

My '03 Trailblazer has an A/C problem, but not a hose. The compressor clutch is bad and unfortunately, you can't replace just the clutch. You have to replace the entire compressor.
