It was very difficult to show this story properly with so little information that survived up to this day, but I'm glad it will not be totally forgotten now :) I hope this video will encourage some people to try out the stunt mode, maybe eventually it will come to TM2020 as well.

27:38 The actual longest stunt track that I could find uploaded is called Bonjour Hell, can be found in the Sunrise TMX with a time limit of 1h 45mins, and someone has uploaded a replay to it

Finally a full video about the stunts mode! I was a huge fan of this mode on TMS and tmuf (didn't even play the race mode anyway). And the small community (DgA, Gr, Fly teams, ...) was awesome. The nostalgia of the coast car maps when you end your runs with a backward spinning chaos into the scenery of the map hits very hard !!

I made the first (probably the Only), 3+ minutes long *"FOUR LAP' ~ 'PRESS FORWARD' ~ LAP TRACK"* in TM... With Four completely different Lap Routes all around the stadium without using one single wall ride to help change the direction of the car. And you only press One Key. 😊 Good video btw 👍

there was a very old video made in trackmania original which was just all about stunts, i think they also made some in sunrise. but its really old and i couldnt find it, one of the oldest relics of trackmania machinimas

Damn, that trick is amazing xD This is why I loved trackmania (I still like it, but the passion is not the same anymore), there were things discovered which make like absolutely no sense, but it's fun, you can built around it, people do that and some crazy shit evolves xDDD These things are the basics of kacky, deep dip and everything else which is nowadays so loved, because you needed the pioneers to invent these things. Nice video man :)

The 20 minute timer seems kinda arbitrary, and this track clearly isn't the most optimized for point grinding (and the main strategy relies on editing the game's savefiles to get a car in a map you're not supposed to). You should try going for a single trick record, where you see what the highest score you can get is without any multiplier.

When the timer runs out, and the points start decreasing: do they decrease at a fixed rate or does it accelerate? Because if its fixed, maybe with a high enough multiplier and a high scoring trick you can gain more points than you lose

How does the time penalty at the end work? Seemed to only deduct like 15 points for 5 seconds. Couldn't you continue doing 20k stunts, gaining points faster than you lose them

Finish penalty is -1 point for each 0.1 second of driving after the timer runs out. Additionally any stunt that is landed after the time ends does not give you any points, so there is no point in going overtime
