Knowing that this game was fully developed in 8 months on the PS3. Which is a nightmare to develop for. It is impressive what they gave us, but this really should have gotten the Kiwami treatment. It could have made this alright game into a great one.

I disagree. I think the game is fine by itself. The graphics are dated and the combat could use a little work, but compared to the ps2 titles it doesn’t seem as bad. Still I would like them to kiwami 3 and 4 one of these days. The gameplay would just be the dragon engine (which I am a bit torn ok whether I like it or not) which it would be nice to see the changes they would make. Also, the game as a lot of sub stories as it is so again, at least compared to 1 and 2, Yakuza 3 didn’t really need a kiwamiazation. I just made that up. Anyway I would like to see kiwami 3 but I’m not holding my breath.

The hype train is a rollin'! Yakuza 3 is easily my second favorite game in the series, only behind 0. I really love how it tries to give us a fresh start for Kiryu as the owner of an orphanage and, while it can be seen as padding, I love how each individual kid in that orphanage gets an arc of some kind. In addition to that, 3 has some of my favorite characters in the series, as well as my favorite villain and final boss in the series. So, naturally, I eagerly await your videos, my dude.

Major Yakuza 3 spoilers and minor 4 spoilers. Mine was a cool dude, I feel like he could have used more screen time to properly set him up. However, the best part to me was that he sets up Akiyama pretty well. Akiyama and Mine are two men who went from nothing to immense wealth. They’re very different beyond that, but it really feels intentional. The last scene with Mine has his secretary calling him, she’s panicked about a deal but is showing him respect; Akiyama’s debut scene on the other hand is him delaying answering Hana’s call where she yells at him for being lazy despite being the owner.

This intro is easily my favorite from the series. Yakuza 3 isnt my favorite title, but this intro is just amazing. It starts out so intense, reminding you that this is indeed a Yakuza game. But about halfway through, it suddenly gets so emotional. The electric guitar just absolutely pulls on the feels and i love it. Constant chills throughout the entire song, along with the visuals.
