I used to have a 2006 blaster, when we bought it it had zero compression, you could push the kick starter down with a single finger. But some how we got it to start and it ran for 3-4 more months with no compression, then we rebuilt it. But she was a beast

Good job on the Blaster, you know I love those little rockets!! Just a small FYI the air filter on it is very restrictive, I had one for about 20minutes on mine and threw it in the pile, I put on a foam cleaner and it was back to ripping hard. The tops of the TORS carb is loose and is an air leak, the flat rubber washer in the cap can't seat because the threads get stripped on the cap making it impossible to get it air tight. I have hundreds of free "go fast tricks" for Blasters if you want or if you find a project Blaster. Pops

I read the title, I had a 2000 blaster, that I rebuilt when I got it. It had a blown top end. I had tge head machined and a new piston kit with rings. and it worked great. It wasn't as fast as hoped, but ran good one day it started acting weird, same symptoms. I was about 15 and decided to look at the Reed valves? They were broken and ended up being the problem, sorry for the long story, but I'm about to watch and think thats what it is going to be wrong with it! Lol

Installed a 34mm carb and throttle body, went a tooth taller up front, put 22 inch tall rear and 23 up front. Also machined the air intake to accept a YZ250 reed cage. It will eat a Polaris scrambler 400cc 2-stroke on take off and top end. It will do over 70mph stock was just 55mph.

I am considering buying one of these from my sisters fiancé. I saw it run once years ago, it’s been sitting outside for a while now. It has low compression, about 70 psi. It has good spark and that’s about the only thing it really has going for it. He also has a “parts” one that has a seized motor. He wants $100 for the two of them. Should I take them? Just from quickly looking at it today It’s going to definitely need a top end at minimum, tires, fuel line, seat, clutch(when I pull the clutch in it gets stuck), exhaust boot, and the brake lines/ master cylinder has no fluid at all. Any fed back on it is greatly appreciated!!

$100 for both? I wouldn’t pass them up for that price, shoot if you get them and it begins to be too much or maybe your not comfortable fixing the one you could part out the good parts and probably get your $100 back fairly easy

Ive always had luck with starting things that become flooded, by holding the throttle wide open, letting the excess fuel out the exhaust. Works on two or four strokes.

I got a question for u my blaster was out of nowhere lost spark took me a while to figure it out I changed the coil and spark plug and cdi and fixed it but then after rideing for 20 mins and parked it I wouldn’t kick start but was still getting spark and fuel and has compression so I removed the carb completely cleaned it put it back together and I took the reeds out put new ones in and new gaskets put all back together and still won’t kick start but it will pull/push start and runs great got tons of power but wouldn’t stay running unless I keep giveing it a little throttle so I turned the idle up I think this may be cause the tors system has been removed so it stays running but when ya shut it off after being pull started it still dose the same thing it won’t kick start no matter how many times I try I’d kick that thing till my leg about falls off lol and it’s not the kicker leaver eitherr I checked or crank case seal I did compression test but I can pull start it in 20 feet easy and like I said run and rides great I just can’t seam to figure out what the problem is why it won’t kick start have u ran across this issue before ? Got any advice on how to fix it I’m a mechanic myself own run an small engines shop and I got to say I’m stumped about to the point where I’m ripp the motor off it and through it in my used parts storage and build a death Machine put a gsxr 600rr motor on it I got laying around

Hey Joe I have a 97 Polaris magnum that back fires every time I let off the throttle do you think it’s a carb issue?

You should buy a IV pole then you can hang one of those cylindrical gravity feeding gas tanks to hang from the IV pole lot easier to test start with oh it’s an auxiliary gas tank they’re both about $40 each but handy

I have watched many of your videos and this may be a stupid question. Have you ever done a motor swap? Like an 1100 onto a three or four wheeler?
