Sometimes in winter when it gets super cold, my skin on my hands at the exact same area will just cut/open up and it gets bloody too, and when I get up on a bus with my bloody hands I see people afraid to look at me or in my eyes, but I never hit anybody in my life and I never will, but they don't know that, I guess they afraid to ask :)

This is a great keyboard. It doesn't have all the fancy functions that I don't need. It's a workhorse and that's what I want. I just wish Yamaha didn't decide to charge $200 for an extra octave of keys.

Does this keyboard allow you to create customized drum patterns?
@Keyboardman882 жыл бұрын
No, it doesn't. The closest is the ability to chose a "drum set" for each available pattern...but that's about it. I find that a lot of the patches have way too much bass.....and there's no way to adjust the EQ on them...at least no on board. maybe by using the functions on an I-pad there might be a way to do EQ, but I'm not that versed.
@user-gi6ee8vj1y2 жыл бұрын
@@Keyboardman88 back in the 80s, I had my first and only keyboard workstation. It wasn't very expensive, but it was very versatile. I could create drum patterns, bass lines, strings, horns, and I could even tweak the sound of each instrument. For the life of me, I can't recall the name of the keyboard.
@Javkillers Жыл бұрын
it's actually possible with the John Melas editor (you need to pay for it though), you can choose the drum (kick, snare, hi hat, etc) and edit the fine, coarse, ahdsr filter, etc

"Real professional grade acoustic sounds out of the box." Meh, they're okay. Not that I'm displeased. They work for me. But I feel like it's a a $500 keyboard, not a REAL bargain. Something like a Nord or one of those vintage Korg things, whatever they're called, they have professional grade acoustic instrument sounds. I think you have to get into the 4 digit range to get those really professional sounds and even those don't sound EXACTLY like the real ones. But don't get me wrong. It's an excellent deck for the price. If you're like me and just want a fairly convincing Hammond sound and a few pianos that aren't completely terrible, so I can put a little color under my guitar, then get it. If you're a pro who gigs a lot, you might need to get something a little more pricey.

I really wanted to like this keyboard, mostly due to the price, and the focus on DAW integration, but the sounds are just total dogshit. I have NO IDEA how this thing has maintained any sort of a legacy (outside of the features I mentioned earlier, of course).

This board has some really nice sounds...and they can be edited via the ADSR, bit I agree that there are a lot of less quality sounds. IMO there is no one keyboard out there that has it all. I used to have a Kurzweil PC2x. I liked a lot of the sounds, but it was heavy and long and a pain to haul around. I sold it and bought a MX88. Half the weight, better piano sounds - the PC2x pianos were kind of dated. In addition to my old 2X, I also had a PC161 that I kept. I still think that the PC2 (x) and PC1 (X) have better string and orchestra sections, as well as the "vocal" section; however, in addition to the MX88, I bought a MX49 to use for leads. I like the many of the solo sounds ( flutes, saxes,etc.) better than any my Kurzweils had. I can midi the PC161 to my MX88 and have the best of both worlds.
