thanks for getting me through this install. I did have to call yoshimura to get advised to pull apart my headers to get them to fit, but only less than a CM - in case anyone else finds themselves scratching their heads trying to get them inserted.

Due to the design of the OEM R7 system none of the exhaust manufacturers offer a slip on. Only full systems for this bike. - Van

What mileage would you change factory exhaust? Does the break-in period matter at all?

Break in does not matter, you could change the exhaust before you ever ride the bike if you like. I would not expect to see any real impact on fuel mileage. - Van

Hi Brian, How do you like the R7 as compared to the R6? As I only ride on the street, I probably should have settled on a GSX-R750 or the GSX-R600, but my last two bikes were 1000's so I bought the GSX-R1000R---Getting $4,000.00 off the list price didn't hurt my decision either. I had the GSX-R750 back in 1985. That was the first of three bikes I have bought brand new. I wish I would have kept her as well, but,..... The second bike I bought new wad a 1987 Honda CBR1000F Hurricane, Honda also had a 750 model of the Hurricane which I was told was very rare, at least it was in the USA, and a 600. I had that Hurricane right up to 2017, over 100,000 Miles. I had to replace the timing chain twice and the only part that I could never find was the timing chain tensioner. This was after a certain time or age of said MC. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Every time I turn on the bike since I got the new system I can smell gas fumes a lot is that normal? On a 2024 R7

I would not expect installing the exhaust to cause any issues. Perhaps you are smelling the muffler packing breaking in? If you do not see a check engine light and there is no fuel leak I would say you are good to go. - Van

Thanks for the video Brian. I've got a stock 16' FZ07 with the same engine. If I get the same exhaust can Install and ride on or do I need to do any ecu programs or updates afterwards? No mods just exhaust only

You do not have to change the fuel mapping if you are happy with the way the bike performs. Installing the system will not harm the bike at all. We have done this on several models. - Van

i just got my R7 and im stuck between the yoshi and the m4, these 2 exhuasts sounds the best imo with that nice deep grunt. in you opinion which one do you think sounded better and which one was louder?

No you do not have to tune the bike after installing the exhaust. If you install it and are happy with the performance. Now if you find yourself wanting smooter fuel deliver a good tuner can get you optimized for sure. - Van

You do not have to get the bike tuned after installing the exhaust. I would install it and ride the bike. If you are happy with the performance no need to go any further. Now if you feel like the throttle response could be smoother you could look into getting it tuned. If you are not racing the bike odds are you will not need to take any further action. - Van

No you can install this and ride the bike without issue. If you are not happy with the fuel delivery then you can get a tune. Now if you ride it and you are satisfied you can save the money and leave it alone. - Van

At the end of the day both of the systems are amazing so go with the one you like the most. With either you could run it without making any changes and you will be just fine. - Van

You can install the exhaust system and ride the bike. If you are happy with the performance there is no need to make any changes to the fuel mapping. We have ridden several bikes in the past for quite some time after installing an exhaust system without changing the fuel mapping and never had an issue. - Van

There is no need for any thread locker on this install as the supplied hardware uses locking nuts. As stated in the video I did not use anti seize because this will have another system installed very soon. - Van
