very interesting changes, as I am about to buy a new T7. Will wait for more info to decide if I go for new models or just get the older model with cable clutch. Usually less electronics is better for me as I ride my 1990 XTZ750 of road currently and I can fix most issues myself.
@nogerboher5266Ай бұрын
YUP, it's not just you, less electronics IS actually better and results in a MUCH more reliable and cheaper to maintain bike. Also, the throttle is ride by wire too on the new model, which I don't like at all...
@BSpenceTravelsАй бұрын
@@nogerboher5266 The lack of electronic rider modes was a selling point for me, I want reliability while on long trips. I'm definitely glad I got my 2024 when I did.

To little to make me want to uppgrade. A few more hp, cruise controll and tubless would make me want to trade in my 2021.

You can buy tubeless rims, not everyone wants tubeless, me included. A few more hp would certainly be handy to lift the front wheel over obstacles. Some decent upgrades here but will probably keep my old one.

Happy to hear that Japaneese make the evolution and not revolution on this bike. Glad for all the widely asked updates. One downside... with the ride by wire could have implemented cruise control...
@TriAngles3DАй бұрын
One of the really attractive aspects of the T7 was its Simplicity, its lack of (silly) electronics. More parts, more problems. The T7 becomes just another SUV type ADV bike. ABS proves more of a (dangerous) annoyance than all else. I don't need TC. And, CC? Really? On the dirt trails? What should have been improved on is the exhaust damper and sub frame. The sub frame should be detachable as a bolt on unit. And the damper perhaps be more integrated like the YZ 450.
@mikehimes4833Ай бұрын
No cruise?
@LowQualityPigeonАй бұрын
I'm glad they did not change it drastically. It already was perfect and needed some little more stuff to keep it updated. Although I'm just sceptical about Ride by wire which I always find very weird to use. I do like the conventional cable throttle but I guess I'll have to get used to it. But aside that it's a monster on and off-road.
@HectorAR92Ай бұрын
Why do you have to buy the new one? If you like the previous one and it still works well. consumerism makes you want this one, it's essentially the same

@@pedrovazquez9146 Where I live there's hardly anywhere straight enough on a 2 hour ride to use cruise, I don't even use it in my car, it's not really an issue for most.

pandering for the sake of it - no need to confuse the simplicity of the bike with modes but whatever, you mention they listened to customers, well is the idiotic exhaust still mounted to the welded subframe? if so they have witnessed the aftermarket provide the fix and yet....lazy yamaha.
