Great video thanks for the upload . Just a PSA for everyone out there - the 450 and 250 oil filter is exact same size and shape but has no holes in the engine side to allow oil to the top end. Just bought a bike with incorrect filter installed and there is now a less camshaft in there than when I bought it 🙃

Re used mine many times. Check the rubber seals and bypass spring though.

Hey, do you have a way of checking the color of the oil without draining it? I usually just stick a zip tie down the breather but idk how much I trust that.

I guess you could stick something down into the oil fill hole?

The spring clicks onto that plug. I use full synthetic oil. Thanks for showing. I wanted to know if all TTRs use that wire filter.

Thank you for your great video. One question. Before I start the engine the oil level is between the 2 lines. But when I start the engine the oil disappears. Is that normal? I out exactly 1 L

A small culdrical magnet may help to remove metal shavings if not aluminam

I just did an oil change on my dirtbike and it seemed that the o ring was to big for the path made inside the cover plate. I saw on your O ring seemed to be a bit to large as well. I am wondering if it may cause any issues later on.

@@Myksgarage I talked to my Yamaha dealership near me, they said that it’s common, and you need to replace it or it will cause a large oil leak. He said that if u want to replace it without replace a majority of the oil is by laying the bike down on the side and just taking off the oil cover.

Uhmmmm. The housing in which the oil filter goes in has like a hole in it. It looks like in your video it’s a black rectangle on the right. Mines corroded and cavitated. What’s this mean.

I've used pen oil in mine also Mobil 1 racing 4t they both work just make sure isn't high milage oil. Additives will make clutch slip

Changed the oil on my trr 230 put a whole valve line motorcycle oil in and still didn't see through the glass do I need to add more

Probably more likely to be material from the clutch than metal shavings from the engine

Ive seen a few people pull that cover and have the oring prove difficult to reinstall. Ill figit with it a bit more but I may just get a smaller one. I was glad to see you had the same amount of filings as I did when I pulled the filter. Thanks for the video.@@Myksgarage
