I found the 650nk to be the most unstable bike, for its weight and size, at slow speeds. The 2015 650nk my friend had was a nightmare to do U-turns; that ended up being the main reason he sold it, tired of laying her down in tight streets.

For a newer rider though that gap will be even larger MT-07's have an insane insurance rate. A new rider could be looking at $800+ for basic coverage while the CFMoto's have the benefit of being an unknown commodity and not having squids flipping them raising the rates yet.

Tbh the reviews the reviews we really need when talking about Chinese brands or heavily Chinese-reliant manufacturers (like Benelli here in Italy or Brixton) should be more the "CF700 20k miles review" kind rather than "whoa these bikes are shiny new and I love how they feel". The problem with these Chinese brands is _how long_ they last and whether what you're saving is really worth all the trips to the mechanic afterwards.

I picked up the sport version a few months ago. I love it. My previous bike was a 2001 R6 a decade ago and I didn't want anything that crazy. The CLX sport checked every box I wanted. It's not the fastest bike on the road(tops at 125 mph), but it's light and flickable and perfect for the CO mountain roads here. And sounds vicious with my knock off SC Project exhaust lol. If you're curious about them, definitely check CFMOTO out.

CFMoto is hurting the big 4 a lot in Asia. A 300cc CFMoto is less than a hundred dollars cheaper than a Yamaha R15 V3 or a Honda CBR150R V4. An R15M or R15 V4 is even more expensive. Insane.

Oh, sure. What im saying is they're already building it now. They've been here for like, 3 years or something now, and they seem to be the best choice among the chinese brands. They've proven how far they reliability is. The big 4 DESTROYS CFMoto bikes on a cc vs cc comparison for specs and reliability, but the price difference is too insane. Most would settle for a cheaper bike with less reliability as long as that unreliability isnt too much. CFMoto seems to have hit that sweet spot. I don't own a CFMoto, but Im a rider in Asia, so word goes around.

Combine that with KTM licensing the LC8 engine to CfMoto... Could be good. My understanding is that on the 650's (nk, MT/ADVentura) the engine is built from the plans given to them by Kawasaki's ER6N (and bored out to 700cc here). What really makes them *not* race bikes is the weight. This is both a blessing and a curse. Depends on the wind, I suppose.
@lcgiv4u
@lcgiv4u 2 жыл бұрын
@@eriksentell4973 I believe the 400 they use is a Kawasaki block as well (many companies like Kymco use this one). There are only a few fully Chinese designed engines I know of (Benda is releasing a few) and they are usually heavy low output twins, and the occasional inline 4 (QJ 600) I heard about one V4 coming along but only making 40kw in released specs... Benelli/QJ is also a mutual production case like KTM and CF. It is hard to nail down where exactly some engines come from originally.

I bought a 700clx heritage after a lot of research. I test road the 650nk and the 700clx. I come from a Harley background and I was very impressed with the fit and finish on these bikes. O chose the 700clx over the 650nk because the 700 had more power and was super smooth. The 650nk was super buzzy at higher RPMs. I have been extremely pleased with the bike. I have a around 700-800 miles on mine and commute 64 miles round trip for work on 2 lane highways with major western Kansas winds and I love this bike. I got hurt at work over a month ago and haven’t been able to ride since or is have way more miles on mine. Also cruise control is another reason I chose the 700clx over the 650nk.

Guys, I saw a clip of someone doing a wheelie on the 650 ADVentura, so I hope you all will do a video on that soon. I looked at the ADVentura, and I was impressed. For less than the base price of its Big Four competition (Kawasaki Versys and Suzuki Vstrom), you get a nice bagger (with removable bags) with an adjustable windshield. The quality of the switchgear was better than expected. CFMOTO offers a LOT for the money! Their bikes, ATVs, and UTVs offer standard features that are options on other marques. Should the Big Four be looking over their shoulders? Yes, definitely.

What he was describing was a slower buildup to power and then the power coming on more quickly within a particular power band depending on the mode. 10 years of not riding and I just bought (8/5/22) the 700 Heritage version I absolutely love it! It has been a great re-entry bike. I'm just shy of 6ft tall and it is extremely comfortable. I will agree that the "sport" mode is a little unusual and not as smooth as I'd like it, but damn does it go at that 6500-7000 rpm range. Going 65 on the hwy in 6th, it has plenty of room to pass with ease. This is definitely something the big 4 should be keeping an eye on. Can't beat it for the price!

Living in China for five years (leaving soon), riding here for two ( QJ-Benelli 500) . My buddies said not to get this bike because of the electronic throttle delay. Majority of the Chinese reviews say the same. Sounds similar to the complaint with the trident 660 throttle. I like the looks; Chinese bikes use lots of LEDs… and it is, or maybe was now, the cheapest Brembo equip bike here with the sport package (but the regular has better colors imo). It is very good looking. But what I've noticed with Chinese vehicles, as we get them here on our side of the world. Is they look nice, they come in looking as nice as locally established brands like Toyota and Vw, and they're cheaper. So that's their appeal, is that they look as good as the competition but they're cheaper. But then 3 years later you're no longer seeing them running on the road. Whereas you can see a Toyota from 15 years ago still looking good

One thing not really discussed in much detail is the lowish seat height of the CL-X. This is absolutely a huge plus. As someone who is 5'5" with a 27" inseam, most bikes don't fit me very well. The ones that do fit pretty well are marketed and powered as "beginner" bikes. I was shocked when I sat on the CL-X Heritage and I fit on it beautifully. Both balls of my feet I can get down and it doesn't feel heavy at all. Add in cruise control, 2 year warranty (in USA), 500 dealers throughout the USA, and low price you better know the other manufacturers MUST step up their game or they're about to get smoked. The only thing that could derail CF Moto motorcycle offerings in the USA is if they turn out to be crap a year or two down the road. If they are reliable.... watch out.

I know they aren’t exactly the same “style” but fit the power level I’m looking for, and I like the look of both tho also different. I feel like from my “research” so far some of the main differences are clx is going to be more of “mild” but smoother throttle compared to the mt and clx is gonna come with more features like rider modes, cruise control. On the flip side Yamaha has years of quality to back it up and the mt is just a FUN bike
