Don't know which part you're referring to but most of it sounds like standard modern fos7a to me. Which is kinda funny hearing him talk like that, even more so in his other behind the scenes video. It's like he's reading from a text book cause seriously nobody talks like that. But I'm not in the mood to argue about this so I'll pretend it's Egyptian just for you :)

Right after he says Hathi fikra jayeda, that's not Egyptian at all (Egyptians never use the words hatha or jayed, and almost never pronounce th or j) And in the other video with his son I remember it was the same fus7a Arabic, not Egyptian. I lived in Egypt for a long time and I speak mainly Egyptian, so this whole conversation we're having is just ridiculous haha

Why is it okay for someone to not have a beard (almost clean shaven) given a platform to speak about the religion of Allah. An open sinner is a professor and giving talks infront of millions. Why is this what the religion has come to?
@mertmitm4 жыл бұрын
It is shocking what the Deen has partially come to and I'm not referring to Dr. Jonathan A. C. Brown, but to the amount of bias and ignorance that's been growing among some of our brothers and sisters in these times. According to most Ahadith (mainly from Al-Bukhari) regarding the bears our beloved last Prophet Mohammed (s.a.v.) and his companions supposedly said, that it was a sign for believers to differentiate the believers from the polytheists, hence why the mustache should be shaved, since the polytheists of mecca shaved everything but the mustache. Additionally scholars like Dr. Haleem and Dr. Shabir Ally who have dedicated their entire life to Islam and studying it say, that the Ahadith were not even a command, but an advice, whereas others such as Dr. Zakir Naik interpeted it as fardh. When not even the greatest scholars of our time are 100% sure about the position of the beard, because of its complexity and lack of detail in the sources, how can you be so sure about it? And how can you walk around and judge people based off on your own idea? Maybe Dr. Jonathan A.C. Brown thinks that it is an obligation, but has a reason why he has cut it short in here, we don't know. So who are you to not only judge him and be ignorant of it, but also rob him of his intellect, just because he doesn't have a beard? That is everything but righteous and fair. He has helped a lot of people including me in their Deen with his immense knowledge of Islam and the arabic culture, way more than for example a scholar who happens to have a beard. If only the beard would be enough as a criteria to say who is a good scholar and who not, then we wouldn't have the major problems our community is facing nowadays such as terror organizations and warlords. If you think that he's doing something wrong, do what Allah (s.w.t.) has told you to do and talk about your concern, give Dawah if you're sure of your knowledge of the concerning topic, forgive and don't judge, for it is only Allah (s.w.t.) who judges and don't follow the footsteps of Shaytaan and be ignorant, judgmental and even unfair. May Allah (s.w.t.) guide us all to the right path.

Don't judge people. Do you know some people's beard can't grow.
@hamedkakar14114 жыл бұрын
@@simpleman4491 I can see that in some videos his beard is longer than others which clearly shows he has shortened it. Dont worry that's the first good thought I had for this individual until I saw his beard slightly longer in an older video which clearly shows shortening. And we are allowed to judge on the apparent, just like you would judge a rapist or a murderer. An open sin is an open sin, and we make excuses for the ignorant but this individual is a 'scholar' so he cant have that excuse.

Dear self appointed gatekeeper...if you are so on top of your deen, you'll also know that it is not ok to be viewing this...the deliberate viewing of pictured depictions of miniature people is haram.
@hamedkakar14114 жыл бұрын
@@sweeneyadair2952 where is your proof that viewing pictures is haram? Which scholar said you cant watch a video of an Islamic lecture? I mean if you said that me seeing someone partake in a sin (shaved beard) or that I'm listening to deviant speakers, you would have a point, and to answer that, I havent watched the video, I got disgusted by the beard and turned it off straight away. And if its haram to watch videos then why defend this guy for shaving his beard and use it as an attack against me? Lol. It's as if you're trying to say that because I'm watching a video which is haram (you havent provided evidence) it's okay for this man to shave his beard. Bare in mind this man is a religious scholar and I am not. Pathetic fan boy/girl. Stoop so low
