On the little fabric tab to turn it right side out, I put a safety pin in the seam allowance then feed it down through the tube. It should make it easier.

Yarnbomber complete. I’m over the moon with it. My two daughters are fighting over it, so I’ve told them I’m keeping it for myself 😂 but I’m going to make another one so they can have one each as a surprise. Thank you Jo for such straightforward and clearly explained tutorial.

GREAT TUTORIAL! I may make this with a cotton canvas and a denim bottom. I got a Janome also, after watching your video about yours. I have finally mastered the tension adjustments, and I now appreciate that it gives you so many options for threading to assist with tension.

Hi Jo. Since finding your channel just recently I’ve spent a small fortune on supplies and cork fabric ( from Portugal , as you recommended)😂 much to my husband’s dismay!! I was wondering if blackout curtain fabric would be suitable in place of waxed canvas as I have quite a lot of large remnants in my stash? Thanks so much for such amazing tutorials.

Sorry about that 😂 I’m be never used black curtain fabric but I imagine it would be different from waxed canvas. I would expect it to be thicker and harder to sew with. Waxed canvas is surprisingly easy to work with. Hope that helps

Thanks! Yep the physiotherapy is proving very effective for a quick recovery 😁 it’s nice to be back in the sewing room! I bought my Thermolam from Sewhot.co.uk. If you’re outside the UK, it’s worth searching for “Pellon 971F” as that’s the code they use for Thermolam and sometimes its easier to find it under that name. Google or possibly eBay or Etsy could be worth searching for it 😁

Great video-how do you follow the half inch seam allowance marking on the HD9? I find the marking doesn’t go all along the small needle plate and usually run tape to get the seam allowance.

What is the purpose of the key chain ring? I get the eyelet is for a yarn feed but the metal ring just looks like an odd decoration. Looking on instagram and the pics on the pattern of bags people have made it doesn’t seem to me doing anything useful
