Archfiend of Ifnir might actually be better than you think. You don't need to put any -1/-1 counters on your opponents' creatures beforehand. You can use Yawgmoth's proliferate, targeting each of your opponents' creatures, even the ones without any counters. Archfiend then triggers, which goes on the stack on top of Yawgmoth's proliferate. Archfiend trigger resolves, putting a -1/-1 counter on each of your opponents' creatures, then proliferate resolves giving them each an additional -1/-1 counter.

Thank you for this video. I thought I was going to run Yawgmoth in my Jund infect deck but it just didn’t fit. After watching this video I crafted a super fun deck on a budget. This deck is fun to pilot even losing because there is so much that it does. Up was worried when I cracked Urza that it wasn’t fate to build a commander deck to match my meta, but Yawgmoth allows me to do all sorts of things without breaking the game in a single turn every game. Thank you.

Super sick deck tech. I love it. I’ve had a Yawgmoth deck in the works for a while. One thing I was surprised that you didn’t mention was the combo between tainted strike and Vindictive Vampire. Unlike a lot of blood-artist-type effects, vindictive vampire deals damage instead of just causing loss of life, which means if you give it infect, you just need to trigger it 10 times to win or just trigger it once to get poison on everybody.

I bought the deck with the reasonable upgrades and very few cheap upgrades of my own - and I have to say it’s a powerhouse. Yawgmoth is basically broken and there is no need for a 300$ Deck to take advantage of that. He’s not only strong but also so much fun to play.

I didn't think - 1/-1 counters and +1/+1 counters worked like that. I thought that if a creature had both a - 1/-1 counter and a +1/+1 counter, they didn't cancel out and it was still net 0. Eg a creature with 5 +1/+1's and 3 - 1/-1's doesn't have 2 +1/+1's, it has 5 +1/+1's and 3 - 1/-1's for a net gain of +2/+2

This may be bad for your deck but the -1/-1 counter and +1/+1 counter would both be on the card. They wouldn’t fall off the creature as the counters pump effects would just cancel.

@@oxnut9491 Actually, I'd look at some different options. Grafted exoskeleton costs 6 total mana to play and equip. You could enchant him with an aura instead for 1 and a black or use one black mana for an instant that gives him infect until the end of the turn.

I think the 25$ price is a bit misleading since for every non american they have to pay shipping fees, which are immense, since tcg uses so many different sellers. Not to mention, that some of these cards are not available in bad condition or any condition for that matter. I just went to the provided link and according to tcg they don't have many of the cards listed for sale. The upgraded version does go to the shopping cart, but I would have to pay a whopping 160$ for it. (due to some of the upgrade cards being in foil only) Ps. Not hating on the deck or you in particular just wanted to point out that this is most likely relevant budget deck for americans only.

Australian here. It's kinda self explanatory that it's $25 for Americans. Even if everything was in damaged condition. Furthermore, there are people that straight up buys these lists and the damaged, cheap cards are often sold immediately, leaving only the pricier cards. That's not Mitch's fault. Don't forget to check your LGS for these cards too. Without your LGS there aren't many ways to play with your friends after all.
