YaYa, just wanted to suggest you infuse your oils for a minimum of 2 hours to get the benefits of the herbs. I infuse mine for 4 hours. I learned this from an herbalist quite a few years ago. It makes a huge difference in your formulations. It takes a minimum of two hours to infuse, all your getting the first hour is basically the color. It takes an hour before herbs begin to release there benifits properly. I'm not critisizing, just passing along information I obtained from a great source. I used to go half an hour, but after I spoke to this herbalist, I noticed huge benifits from their knowledge and thought I'd pass it on. I just infused a batch of Chamomile/Calendula oil and Rose bub/Lavender oil for my winter face creams yesterday. I love to fo this so much. It's very relaxing and smells incredible in my studio! Love the hair butter your working on sounds delightful! Jill Gross PS: your piping is looking awesome!

Vitamin e is a preservative, but I see you mentioned an other preservative. What did you use?
@YayaDIYCreations2 жыл бұрын
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that will prevent your oils from oxidizing or going rancid. However, it is not considered a preservative. This hair butter is an anhydrous product, which means it does not include water. So, you want to use a preservative that will work with oil based ingredients. You can look up Optiphen or some other versions of Phenoxyethanol. With proper care, you could skip the preservative. Just make sure to keep wet hands/moisture out of the jar. I am giving these away, so I decided to add one. I hope this helps. ✨💜
@halima69602 жыл бұрын

Love your creations. I am from India and we use fenugreek a lot. Just one question and one suggestion 😊. Does this butter make your hair very oily? Is it as a pre wash and then shampoo? As for suggestion - you could add equal amount of neem powder, fenugreek and curry leaves powder. Also if infused for a longer time it helps to infuse well. Thank you Yaya ❤️

I am thankful that she is getting better and still alive, I am thankful that even though my dad is no more, I got a chance at being his daughter and he has showed and taught me things money can't buy (contentment, loving God, kindness, giving and many more).
