Man that was gruesome and epic at the same time. The way she twisted her limbs was insane

I'm comforted by the fact that Ryma is likely not alive and her suffering has been ended. Even if she hadn't been broken by the time the Battle of Falme took place, the Seanchan would have likely moved her to one of the ships and from what we see, the entirety of the Seanchan force in Falme was wiped out including the sul'dam and whatever damane were present.

Sad to say this but in the books Ryman was broken. In book 6, she was brought back from the Seanchan land in the Westlands again. And we can see she has been "tamed" and broken.

@@erinknightingale251Is ‘taken from the flame’ how it’s written in the book or are you just good with words lol? A sitter of the Blue Ajah was also taken from the flame. Maybe Amazon will explain it a bit more in the next season but in the books is the flame more important to the Aei Sedai than it seems so far. I see that their final wish or maybe final honor is having their ring return to the flame.

What's interesting about this and them being obviously African or African decent, twisting the limbs was like if she had a voodoo doll and controlled it to do that to them. Love this!

It's more about her being a Yellow Ajah. they focus on studying healing and by extension, anatomy. Forget about fireballs, itchy bones and testicular torsion are their bread and butter.

There are some hidden stuff going on in these scene. Notice how the yellow ajah doesn’t directly attack the damane but attacks just the suldam. And also the way the damane looks when the yellow ajah mourns her soldier
@jayminparikh817618 күн бұрын
So the reason behind her attacking suldam is because yellow ajah are not exactly fighters and one to one with damane wouldn't be the fair fight

As satisfyingly crunchy as it is, the scene unintentionally damages the integrity of the Three Oaths. The Oaths should physically and magically prevent her from taking revenge, unless... she 1. Suicidingly overchannels enough of the One Power unintentionally nuclear bombing them all, 2. Brainwashes herself 100% she's 'Healing' the sul'dam, or 3. Doesn't channel but picks up a sword with her hand and decapitates the sul'dam. _(A more logical scene would be: Ryma is driven insane, becomes calm, walks over to the sul'dam, and Heals her... continuously... that she grows too much flesh, grows cancerous tumors and calcifies as Ryma draggingly walks away.)_
@aylinpatacsil8466 ай бұрын
Revoking my comment. Ryma was protecting _her own __-way of-__ life as an Aes Sedai._ Enough reason to be permitted by the Third Oath and warrant a kill.
@nomisunrider64726 ай бұрын
I’d say that’s the Seanchan’s Achilles heel. The Aes Sedai are allowed to be violent to preserve their own lives and the lives of their sisters. Since they use enslaved Aes Sedai, all sul’dams are harming their sisters just by wearing the bracelets.
@jumpingturtle88304 ай бұрын
I think it was the standard Warder Loophole. Send in the Warder, he's likely to die, use the One Power as a weapon to defend the life of your Warder.

They Def miss a few things with the damane and their connection to their suldam also for her being the last to survive when her sister were capture/kill I don’t believe she put much of a fight, it was nice she did dmg 2 of them but idk I was hoping for her to pull something like Moiraine did on her debut on episode 1 that showed us how powerful Aes Sedai can be. Maybe she wasn’t the strongest of her group but def felt like that fight was a bit too short and why attack 1 on 1 when she could’ve used some multiple target spells.

Why?
@erinknightingale25128 күн бұрын
@@ShadowFhoenixmoraine is much much stronger tha. Most aes sedai. She’s one of the strongest women alive before Elayne, Egwene and Nyneave join the white tower. Her being a yellow as well, it makes sense for her to kill by manipulating the body instead of grand shows of fire and lightening. Her weaves to heal can be edited to kill in more subtle ways.

@TypingramАй бұрын
The tv show is trash. Dont watch the tv show. Read the books. They took the best book in the series(imo) and turned it into this. What a shame. Also, aes sedai shouldn't kill. The 3 oaths forbid using the power as a weapon unless for self-defense. That did not include killing her.
@tadious941510 күн бұрын
They had shot an arrow at her already. They wanted to capture her but they did attempt to kill her and her warder which opens the door to it. They tread on the 3 oaths in other ways at times in the show, but I think this one is fair. Aes Sedai can use lethal force when attacked. It's also in her perspective I think it'd be legit to consider having that collar put on as killing the woman she was. Or just that she hasn't stopped to consider the 3 oaths enough to realize that at that moment she was no longer fighting for her life as the person's perspective matters. No more of a twist than beating rand repeatedly wasn't using the power as a weapon.
