Do you want to know more about us?
Paula Vahos was born in Medellin, Colombia, and discovered yoga back in the 90s, when her city was considered the world’s most dangerous place. Yoga not only saved her life, but gave her a tool to help others. She became a sannyasi and starting traveling the world teaching yoga and meditation. She then moved to Europe, settled in Italy, started a family with Alessandro Sigismondi, and started again traveling the world with him and their son, getting authorized to teach at KPJAYI in Mysore after 4 annual trips to India and kept on teaching ever since, while helping his husband in his production company.
Alessandro Sigismondi, after a degree in Communication and 15 years as a copywriter and creative director in top Italian advertising agency, discovered yoga when he met his wife Paula in 2006, became so passionate about it that he quit his job and moved with his family to India. Then he was not only authorised to teach Ashtanga Yoga, but he used his skills in communication to become the world’s main photographer and videographer dedicated to the yoga community, shooting with world’s most influential teachers like Kino MacGregor, Laruga Glaser and Dharma Mitra, and working with globally-known brands like Liforme, Mandala, Dharma Bums as well as big name studios like Triyoga in London and Pure Yoga in China.

As impressive as this may be, remember that true Ashtanga Yoga has EIGHT limbs and asana is but one of them. Yoga is definitely not 'showing off', even in front of great buildings; neither does it have much to do with commercialisation, however sassy the mat, tattoos or any other accoutrements may be. There are many unknown, unprepossessing, poor and simple practitioners throughout India who exhibit athletic achievements more impressive than this. Nonetheless, enjoy your callisthenics; it does have really great benefits. The photography and setting is really great too.

Ashtanga yoga is not mentioned in the caption but you make a very valid point generally. Personally, I did not watch this for yoga; I watched it for the power of the physical human form and strength, and both combined with such control and grace is beautiful to watch.

I think if it was a yoga pose would be Eka pada bakasana on one arm, but it’s calisthenics actually... so probably it’s elbow lever

This kind of content has just some views and kardashian or any other meaningless content has billions of views. Something is really wrong out there. Thats why quality is not about how many ppl viewed it or reacted on it and inspite of that this numbers are somehow still so "important"
