Neck feels lovely and free, so I'll be coming back to this one often, thank you. Did it just after the shoulder arthritis one. Hopefully, all the hip and glute work I'm doing means soon I won't wobble all over the place during the balancing lunges!

Perfect timing with this video, as I have been having more jaw and neck tension than usual, definitely felt a difference at the end of the video, less tension in my neck, jaw, and back. I have been enjoying your videos the last several months! Just curious if your Pelvic Floor Playbook is suited for a more advanced uterine prolapse(Grade 3)? Thanks so much!
@DrMelissaOleson Жыл бұрын
So glad to hear you have been enjoying the videos! Isn't so amazing how everything is connection. Yes, the pelvic floor playbook is suited for advanced uterine prolapse. The playbook teaches you how to use your core and pelvic floor optimally and manage intra-abdominal pressure. Too much press leads to prolapse, leaks, pains and more. Breathing and posture are key for this and that is exactly what we go over inside the playbook. Let me know if you have any other questions & keep up the fabulous work 💕

Hi Dr Melissa, I have been doing neck and shoulder Pilates / yoga videos since April, after a scan showed I have cervical spondylosis. My aim is to strengthen and stretch to aid my spinal condition and hopefully prevent it from getting worse. This condition comes with neck pain and stiffness daily, and this video is really helping so I wanted to thank you 🙏 the positive from this is that I am now doing yoga or Pilates daily and getting other benefits such as increasing flexibility and it’s good for mental health. If you have any other specific videos for neck, jaw and shoulders please could you send me the link. Thank you again Kate 😊

Hi Kate! SO awesome that you are seeing the benefits from yoga and pilates exercises totally both physical and mentally too! Keep up the fabulous work! I will add a cervical spondylosis video to my filming schedule! You might like this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHW0mXqhjNeUnbssi=_NMdbyTkAXYq7dQ2 and any of the videos that focus on posture or our most recentvideo that is about upper back tension. Focusing on the mid back can be very helpful for the neck. You are doing great!

Didn't catch the connection between pelvis but did FEEL it. Ouch, when I turned my head l for first time I think it's what you call the Vagus. Great video, started relieving that tension.

Hi, Dr. Melissa. Anything for tinitus? I notice that when I stretch my neck and massage my jaw some congestion improves so I know mine is related to water inside my ears.
@DrMelissaOlesonАй бұрын
The exercises in this video can be helpful, working on the vagus nerve, and lymphatic massage can also help with tinitus. It's really getting to the root cause of it and there are so many things like hormones, tight muscles, and more.

Hi, good info! When it comes to training related to the pelvic floor muscles: do you think doing kegel exercises (regular kegels and reverse kegels) is beneficial as a complement to routines such as the ones you provide e.g. "yoga for better sex"?
@DrMelissaOleson Жыл бұрын
Such a great question! Everyone is different, but in general it is more about learning how to use your core and pelvic floor system and manage intra-abdominal pressure. This is done with breathing and posture. The pelvic floor needs to adapt, respond, react, activate, and length to all of our daily movements. Kegels does not allow for this type of movement and if an individual already has a tension pelvic floor this contributes to more tension. The key is retraining these muscles and having them work in a system.
