I have been doing yoga including yoga nidra both at home virtually on KZbin and at a fabulous studio with an extraordinary teacher of not just yoga but many other metaphysical, inward things like tarot, reiki, and astrology since October of last year and my interest in this is increasing all the time. Prior to that some 20 years ago I was enrolled in a school of Metaphysics and did Vipanassa meditation for a while although I got away from all that about 17 years ago and am just now getting "back in" a little. What I simply wanted to say was this particular one has been one of the most meaningful sessions I have experienced thus far ever and I say this being careful and not wanting to take anything away from any of the others I have had and how wonderful they were. Yet there is something special about this one and while I have liked all of your's that I have viewed (or experienced), this one really spoke to me in a more profound and meaningful way than any other I can recall. Maybe I was more ready today. Whatever the case I simply wanted to say this one is especially awesome and profound and amazing. In fact this is the first video of this kind where I've ever left a comment but this was so touching and meaningful I felt I had to let you know. To me, it deserves way more views and I gave it a like and subscribed today and look forward to probably doing this one again and many others of your's. I look forward to being a subscriber and enjoying more of your amazing work. Thanks so much. Namaste. P.S. I just noticed that one reason for the few views thus far is you only posted it yesterday. Clearly, the universe intended for me to see it and experience it.

I woke up very early this morning with the desire to practice yoga nidra. I have a lot of sessions downloaded from you and other teachers. I closed my eyes and scrolled through them, and i landed again on this one. I was so happy that i almost laughed. This is so good. I love it so much. I noticed that there is a embedded belief deep in my system that i am ultimately alone on the spiritual journey, and i offered that belief to the light. I realize that in my experience, that has never been true. To experience the sessions with you, and i love all of them, is not only an act of surrender to grace, but it also is dissolving the inner sense of separateness. Thank you.
@AylaNovaNidra Жыл бұрын
"dissolving the inner sense of separateness"... You are also my teacher, Joe. Thank you for always sharing your insights. It is inspiring to me. I am learning as time passes how the story we tell ourselves (and the story we share with others) has an impact not only in our lives but in others' too. Changing the narrative is not as simple as it sounds. I am whole... and you are whole... If we are all whole then we, in fact, are not separate at all. Modern science teaches us the separateness of atoms and molecules... but on their own... they simply won't survive. We are all in this together, for better or worse... so I hope, one nidra at a time, that the world can rest a little bit more by planting seeds of loving intention. Have a blessed day, my friend!

I just did this session again this morning and also saw your comment. I am so glad of our ongoing conversation. I want to share a dream with you from last week. I dreamed I was in a monastery practicing the adoration of the host. I was not raised Catholic, so I had to Google it after I woke up to see that it was a real thing. Anyway, in my dream, I was deeply immersed in the body of Christ in the same way that I am now in the yoga nidra sessions. We were honoring every part of the body of Christ and seeing it as sacred. I had the sense in the dream that the practice of the adoration of the host was a practice we did on a daily basis for a long time. I love this dream. It speaks to me of the way I feel now that yoga nidra is an act of devotion to the miracle of the human body, this body we all inhabit in our together space. I feel your devotion as you guide the practice, and I honor it.

This is my second time listening to this practice, and you have guided me to the most effortless, subtle awareness of my body I have ever experienced. I got a glimpse of the possibility that all of the body, the energy field, could be held in awareness simultaneously, and perhaps this is only limited by the habit of thinking and visualizing. This is great fun to see how far I can go with this. Thank you.

Ayla thank you for this practice. Can you explain while I am deep in stillness of these recordings my mind and body sometimes startles? I go back into stillness but the startles interrupt the process.
@AylaNovaNidra2 ай бұрын
sometimes the startles are part of the process… Sometimes the body switches between different brain wave states that make the brain believe you’re about to fall asleep. I often find I’ll get a tremble when my nervous system is resetting, but if you have any concerns, definitely consider bringing them up with a healthcare provider if it does become concerning.

What does Hari own tut sat mean???
@AylaNovaNidra Жыл бұрын
The sound of this phrase/mantra (Hari Om Tat Sat) is used to awaken one to their highest self. Often, even if you have fallen asleep, this phrase will bring you back to full awareness. There are a number of ways to interpret this phrase… ‘all that is’ ‘absolute truth’, ‘ultimate reality’. It acts as a reminder that we are not limited to the material world. Thank you for asking. kzbin.infocOQrRK3kjHw
