This yoga nidra is designed to help you connect with your mind. There is little effort involved. Simply find a comfortable position and settle in. In this practice, you massage the mind with intentional awareness allowing you to notice where you store stress and tension. Once you are aware of the places you hold your discomfort, you can begin to accept and truly let go. Removing the blockages that hold you back in your waking life.
We often believe that scrolling through social media or watching TV help us relax. The truth is, these are only distractions from deep relaxation. Distractions can sometimes be helpful, however if you are ready to lean into your body and minds ability to heal and restore, yoga nidra or non sleep deep rest (NSDR) will take you there.

I don't know how you do it, through practice and/or intuition, but thank you for sharing your incredible gift, @AylaNova. I really enjoyed observing the components of our mind, including the ones responsible for those very observations. That tautological sense of awareness was unexpectedly calming. I'd encourage you to do more like this, but you seem to know just where to explore next😉

Thank you so much for sharing your experience Jeff! Historically, yoga nidra was also used to aid students in learn texts and languages. I was inspired to do the same with this practice. Knowing our thoughts and actions are influenced by different parts of the brain can be empowering, in my opinion. Happy you enjoyed it! 🖤✨

I really enjoyed this practice. It was incredibly relaxing, I went with the simple sankalpa "Ich bin ruhig und entspannt (I'm calm and relaxed)" It stayed with me for the whole session. Right now, an hour later, I'm feeling calm, positive and grateful. Thank you. I also liked the little brain anatomy lesson : )

I enjoyed this practice, though I haven't yet noticed any particular blocks connected with the different parts of my brain. I also appreciate the length because I don't always have time to incorporate a full hour. I wonder if you could offer a little more quiet space for saying our sankalpa? It's challenging for me to think it 3 times if I also hear your voice at the same time. It feels like it gets muddled and less clear and focused.

Really nice Ayla. I liked the brain tour. It was very interesting and unique. Thanks for your scientific perspective. I've never run across a meditation like this one. it helped me get in touch with the 85 billion neurons that keep me alive.

I have studied through a number of teachers. The lineages are that of Traditional Tantra (not to be confused with Neo Tantra), Bihar Yoga Nidra through the School of Sankalpa, and iRest. A lot of different sources. 🖤✨
