NEW! WITH INSTRUCTION - 30 Days of Yoga Collection. Iyengar Yoga for Beginners. This sequence joins together poses from the 30 days of Yoga series. You can find Days 1 to 30 on the 30 Days of Yoga playlist on the Yoga with Lin and Leo channel.

The 30 Days of Yoga Collection is a led practice. We show a 20 minute balanced yoga sequence, combining poses from the 30 Days of Yoga series. Lin shows the classic yoga poses and Leo shows modified versions which make the poses more accessible for yoga students who need to improve extension, alignment or balance in the poses. In response to requests from our students and subscribers, we have put a voiceover on this video. However, we still recommend that you complete the 30 days of Yoga series before tackling this beginners yoga sequence as the instruction on individual poses is less detailed in this video. Alternatively, you can look the poses up in our Yoga Pose Directory, which we are adding to all the time.

Yoga is not a sport but regular practice of yoga sequences can improve fitness levels. I took Iyengar yoga in Miami for several years and loved it. While I appreciate the videos, this says for beginners. You go from one pose to the next with very little explanation. For example, if I've never done down dog and I'm not flexible, what if I can't keep my feet flat on the floor, can my knees be bent, etc. I'm trying to get back into it and can't even come close to doing this pose as shown. What about looking up at the video in this pose, could that be a compromising position for my neck. And in child's pose, you say use a block under your buttocks if needed. If I've never taken yoga, what does that mean. Because of pain, inflexibility, etc. You get my drift. I know everyone's a critic but it does say for beginners.

The collection is the culmination of a gradual build up of stamina and flexibility, which occurs through consistent and regular practice, and the collections are not designed to be practiced first.
