The largest polar bear would be 1800~ pounds. The average male hippo would be between 3500 and 10,000 pounds. How do you expect a polar bear to take on something that would be at least ( if it were a small hippo vs the largest possible polar bear) twice it’s size. Hippo Wins every time.

Pyrion addressed that aspect of it. If you're going to travel to the literal other side of the planet why would you just stay in a city the whole time? What would be the point? He lives in one of greatest cities in the world already. If you're going to visit a country then you visit the country, not just one tiny sanitised part of it that's pretty much exactly like the place you live.

I’m fine in a major city doing local stuff and visiting the beach. Australia is low on my list of places to go but most of the places I do want to go I’m going for the city and related history. I’d like to go to Istanbul for the city, not to drive out to some rural town in Anatolia to stare at some bugs.
