i've played GTAO since the day it launched on PC... always used numpad, and I have thousands of hrs in planes/helis... yes... it is... I can do stuff by tapping keys, that controllerbros just seem to find way harder to accomplish somehow.

@@AndreaAttard its crazy how differently both modes control.. But then again, it's like comparing playing an FPS game with a controller or mouse and keyboard.. Way more precision aiming with the mouse. (and seriously, there's more buttons, so of course you can make a better use of them in a bunch of situation) I think it was a video or two ago that Ben was so proud of Kirsty because she said she used mouse and keyboard to fly planes too (well to play the game in general) Always surprises me how much they flat out refuse to try it

Duncan should have gone out of area slowly knowing Ped would follow, then when there were a few seconds left on the out of area timer sped back into the game area

for dogfights you want to use the canon and keep track of where the other pilot is via the minimap and just generally predicting where they're going to be flying. duncan's laser had a faster speed/climb rate so I'd probably climb up to gain distance then turn around and hit him with the canon. The laser canons shred everything else so it would only take one solid hit to get ped.

I think part of the problem is that the planes are not a realistic speed - a real-life F15 (or whatever military jet is in game) should have a much higher top speed & be more agile than a light aircraft.

Having not played _GTA5_ but using my flight sim knowledge: Duncan's strategy should have been to climb at full throttle, break off and reduce altitude to get some distance, then reduce throttle and pull an Immelmann turn with the landing gear out (and/or air brakes if _GTA5_ has them) fire a missile, follow up with cannons in case Ped evades. tl;dr: try spinning, that's a good trick.
