Guys, the game lists how many of an industry exists in the map. That's the (0) number next to each industry in the map list. Smithy Forge goes out of date by the start the standard game (1950), it exists so you can play a game before the 20th century, and still have a source of turning metal into farm/engineering supplies.

Joshua Powell they're talking about FIRs. There's a setting called 'extreme' which includes all the FIRs industries.

I really hope they play it more, Hearts of Iron 4 is easier to understand than Hearts of Iron 3, then again Sjin hasn't played it much, Rythian only a few hours and Daltos probably not much either, Duncan only played in the last few versions a long time ago I believe.. they'll become better when they play it more ;)

If you play with FIRS on this setting, you really need to learn to use the map. Pick a cargo you want to transport, check the chain information (where it comes from, where it goes), then use the legend on the industry map to display ONLY those industries. That way it's really easy to plan your routes.

It is sad that they are too stupid to use the CHIPS custom stations, they are so awesome. Just minor touches to see goods and things stockpiled on the station!

It requires a bit more understanding of the station system in Ottd than they have, so if it doesn't immediately work as they expect they give up.
