For troublesome leaky diffs an alternative I often use Kyosho's weighted silicone greases. They come in a variety of weights including 2000, 3000 and 5000. 👍

Fabulous series, thanks for all the hard work and carbon dust! I have a 870c waiting in the box. I did pick up some tasteful upgrades, carbon shock towers, carbon top deck, and a solid steering link. hopefully that all goes together without too much drilling and sanding. Great suggestion on sanding the diffs. I'm planning on going up to 2000 grit. Cause, you know, that's the grit I've got. And yeah, carbon dust is about the same as asbestos, the fibers go into the lungs and don't come out. Wear your PPE peeps!

Great to see you sanding the gasket surfaces on the diff and wetting the paper gaskets with silicone grease before fitting them. I used the same technique when I built my 870C re-re back in April and haven't had a single leak :D

As a Moldmaker, I almost always make ejector pins .001-.002 long, so you dont have the problem with the ejector pin nubs sticking out. Sweet build !!!

Bruce (xtreme) is a good fella. His carbon fiber stuff is really nice.

i put Associated team shocks on my YZ10 back in the day... made tuning a bit easier because of options The Hobbywing tuner is pretty sweet! I have one and its super handy!

👋 I also race at Nor-cal Hobbies. You should bring this out on a Friday night race. I was planning to do the same when I finish mine.

Great video series. The car handled very well after your tuning. I think there is a different boost firmware available for your XR10 stock ESC that enables boost and turbo timing (it comes standard with blinky firmware). Looking forward to videos on whatever car you get next.

Thank you for the heads up on the firmware. I like this ESC and the price point is good so being able to add timing would be nice.

This was a real rollercoaster. For the wheels, how about a rod with loctite on the hub side and a nylon lock nut on the out side, or lock wire. The car looks great on the track.

That's an interesting idea. Thanks.

The button head screws might act like a rear skid plate to protect the rear of the chassis.

I don't like the heavy wires.

That carbon fiber company sucks. Poor standards, design and workmanship. Having to remachine so much is BS.
