Thank you, Doc! I have been working very diligently at improving my EF number, since having a heart attack one year ago. Down 30 pounds, eating low carb, hitting the gym almost every day, doing my HIIT training, etc... I have heard of people who have improved their number, so I am planning on being one of them! I never thought I would say this, but I'm looking forward to my next stress test, because I'm gonna crush it.

I just spent $2K on a Cardiologist and I got about six sentences out of him and a bunch of pills so I appreciate every word you say. You've not only given me some understanding of the heart, you've calmed much of my anxiety and fear. I appreciate your education and experience and thank you choosing to share it. If you make money or grow your clientele in the process, good for you! I hope you are filthy rich and living the good life! Thank you for giving us a bit of it!

My dad just went to the hospital for a mild stroke and was told his ef was 24%, I'm a RN and forget sometimes that medical terminology can be quite confusing to pts and sound like another language. I tried explaining to my dad what was going on with his heart and he still didn't understand until I searched and searched and found this video. He now has a visual of what his heart is doing and I wanted to personally thank you for your content.

Question I've asked in other places and never got answered:- Why is the EF so reported on and seemingly significant, when it doesn't actually signify the amount of blood being delivered to the body with each beat-the stroke volume. PS THANKS FOR THE HELP
@sos16915 жыл бұрын
The experts tell us that a hiatal hernia must be treated with a very special diet and sometimes medication. You should pay close attention to that and be sure to keep it under control. I am several years older than you are with a heart condition brought on by high blood pressure/high cholesterol plaque. I am currently treating the condition with food supplementation [ for about two weeks ] and I notice a lower heart rate and lower blood pressure - changes in how I feel are definitely taking place so I monitor myself carefully and adjust the dosages of supplementation accordingly. I have cut out carbohydrates [ breads, cookies, pastries, anything made from flour ] and sugar, from my diet, and I now concentrate on eating proteins, vegetables, fruits and nuts, instead. The idea is to avoid any sugar-based diet-intake [ including all soft drinks, most juices, beer and alcohol ] that will spike large insulin production which can bring about insulin-resistance. Insulin-resistance is the underlying cause of all our body problems, according to Dr. Berg. Drink plenty of water and keep the belly-fat slim. If I were you, I would stop the strenuous work immediately. Do very moderate exercise daily, instead. Walking is good. :-)

Please doc idk what to do and I really don’t believe the 5 pills the heart failure specialist wants to put me on is the way to go. I also have sleep apnea although I don’t think it’s severe. Please help me with any advice. I need to be around for my wife and sons but I just don’t think the pills are the answer especially after seeing how my levels shot down in 2 weeks of keto.
