Thank for this information, my Dad died when I was 9 years old. My mother said he had an enlarged heart and the his valves had become too large, a surgeon her in Salt Lake City, Utah tried to help him but he died shortly after walking up from the surgery. The Doctor said his heart was the size of a football. Please don't delay seeing your doctor for this condition. My father was turned away from the Mayo Clinic because they said they could not help him. A local Dr. here in Utah performed a valve replacement but my father could not survive the second surgery.

I was diagnosed with an enlarged heart last Thursday after a stress test on the treadmill and an ecosonogram right afterwards but my cardio doctor didn't really explain it too well. He just doubled my bp medication. Metoprolol from 50 to 100. I was so worried about it but I feel a little better after I saw your video, thanks.

When I was diagnosed with heart problems, my doctor failed to answer the questions I was too stunned to think to ask, too. Next appointment, ask him to explain causes of enlargement and other issues and give you the specific medical name for his diagnosis of your heart problems. Gives you something to look up.

hi Doc I was Diagnoised with an enlarged heart the other day after ECG it does scare me but thank you for your video. I am still waiting on more test results. my dr got a blood test urine and chest x-ray. I am scared a bit and just feel sick in my stomach. Shannin Moetu Thank you so much. I’m just glad to know I have it. Many people could be walking around and not knowing and could possibly become worse and have heart failure. It definitely gave me a wake up call to take my health even more seriously. Since taking BP meds I haven’t had as many pvcs, which was getting really bad! and I feel much better. I’ve been watching my sodium intake and working out 4 days a week. I feel good. Sending prayers to you.

David Wesa quit smoking first of all. I used to be a smoker before my lung collapsed forcing me to quit. Everyone says quitting smoking is impossible or hard. It's nonsense, by far the easiest habit to kick once you realize the most difficult part is finding a new way to drop the same habits you used as an excuse to smoke, like after eating/waking up and lighting up. Cigarettes are pure evil and once the damage is done your up shits creek and can't come back from the damage. Once you quit your health will thank you and trust me it's easy just don't give up!

Dr. Sanjay, is it possible to reverse an enlarged heart thru exercising if it was caused by naturally large size, fat around the heart and being over weight? Nam Goes Ham , I found out today, 05/17/18, that I have an enlarged heart. I asked this very question because I am morbidly obese. He said that losing weight, exercising, and changing diet would certainly reverse matters. Take care! I hope this help. I have fluid build up and am experiencing edema. It can be painful. Thank was told that on ECG confirmed buy Echo, now have to go to get a stress echo, minds in the mildly enlarged 4.3mm on L atrium ventricular thickening and hypertonic ventricles all valves good dilated right ventricular base EF 65%. I just get terrible depression, all palpitations stopped after 1 week of your magnesium. I use Chinese herbs for insomnia and arrhythmia and tight chest. You know I've never smoked mostly vegetarian haven't drunk for 20 years weight 73 kg 5 foot 7 inch BP always 110/70 was a powerlifter from 17-25 competitive went through a stressful divorce at 36 now 54 not got the energy I used to. So Luck I'm an Acupuncturist Herbalist Osteopath so I can choose my own hours. I struggle with that too my heart goes out to a person struggling with a young family and mortgage with the same issues.

Hello What does it mean when the ekg shows possible left atrial enlargement with pronged QT as compared with another EKG from a year ago. I have a history of PAC’s PVC’s but recently went to E R because I am noticing them when I begin exercising. This is new for me- when I had them in the past, nothing in particular brought them on. Now I am concerned that exercising is making a possible condition worse. I am very active bike 30+ miles a day and hike at our place in Colorado which is very high altitude. Any advice? I'm very very concerned and my cardiologist won't explain to me what's going on. I'm 61-years old and I've already had two major heart attacks one in 2012 and another in 2014 they had to place two-stents in my Right Coronary Artery and I've had extreme high blood pressure for three-years my recent blood pressure was 167 over 110 and A stress test was done on July 28th and it showed that my right and left Atrial are enlarged along with hypertrophy along with 35% plaque build up in my left ventricle AND I also have an inferior scar on my heart from possible heart attacks that I didn't even know that I've had I'VE BEEN TAKING HEART MEDICATIONS SUCH AS CARVEDILOL BUT THEY DON'T HELP PLEASE SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN

Hello Dr. Gupta, I was browsing through my old Ct scan of my chest from March 2020. It said mild Cardiomegaly. I researched that and it said enlarged heart. I’m so, so, so worried about this. I am already being treated for Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia which is really annoying. I am meeting with my EP next week and I will address my concerns with him. In your humble opinion, could this mild Cardiomegaly come from the IST? I also had pneumonia in Feb. 2019. I know you can’t give medical advice rather just a little insight. Thank you. Judging from the comments, we need more cardiologists on call.....I was surprised that the good doctor did not mention the increased risk of arrhythmia that is prevalent with a large and thick heart because of the difficulty in electrical conductance through thick heart muscle tissue.These can cause cardiovascular collapse ...and death..I was a big pharma Rep for years and many Cardiologists that i called on were very concerned about this medical anomaly . db

Let me answer that for you seeing as he can't be bothered. Disautonomia is treatable with high dose thiamine. Look up Dr Chandler Marrs and Dr Derek Lonsdale for their remarkable work on this. I think they have a website ' hormonesmatter com '

Shadow God do you have an enlarged heart??. I was told that i do. Do u experience shortness of Breathe???. Im worried. I get it EVERYDAY

@@helengnr4 I do...I do feel shortness of breathe and discomfort on chest...but its weird because when i exercise I feel great heathy but as soon as I'm done ..I feel the discomfort on chest and pain on back of the head..like if i'm about to pass out...when i go to the ER and do x rays on the chest and EKG they say its all normal..

@@2weeksago642 i have the same trouble. But i used minoxidil which causes rare serious side effects.. And im suffering now 2 months since using. I have a feeling my heart is enlarged too. But on ECG is everything ok. But i know and i feel that its not. Next step cardiologist
