I've heard that using the Wiimote actually allows you to aim the reticle where you want it as opposed to it waggling up and down. I really liked Yoshi's Wooly World...or as I prefer to call it "We'll pretend Yoshi's New Island never happened if you do." It actually had a bit of a difficulty curve and getting all the collectibles is actually challenging, like the old Yoshi games. Also "do you think these Miiverse posts will still be up in 2020"...guess not.

4:56 I don't know... The targeting reticle wavering probably makes up something like 90% of the difficulty and challenge in these games. Removing it would probably make them just absurdly easy, since unlike Mario games Yoshi can take more than 1-3 hits before dying and has much more movement control.

I don't know if Yahtzee reads the comments but the reason the analog stick doesn't control the flight path is you need to move with it and can move while aiming. But you can quick aim if you press up before shooting.

Great review as always, I've always loved Yahtzee's cynicism when it comes to just about anything. I do have to say one thing though, the aiming is nowhere near as bad as you make it out to be, using the other control schemes allow you to aim using the motion controls and I actually find this better than the Yoshi's Island style.
