Why do people like this game? In order to be considered "good" you have to wreck your hands, abuse bugs and glitches (but only certain ones! Some bugs are against the rules despite still being bugs!). The characters don't even come close to resembling balanced. I don't get it.

You can express yourself in your own movement, every player has their own style of playing. Also, any fighting game or competitive game has metas around bugs and glitches that you have to abuse. It’s not different that slide-cancelling in CoD or attack cancelling in Smash Ultimate. Breaking hands? No. If you want to do frame perfect inputs constantly for hours nonstop, okay, yes.

Yoshi in ult is nothing like in melee sadly 😢 no dj cancels make scraps painfully slow and mixups aren't nearly as fast. I tried ult yoshi and it's fine but not anything like melee

Going from melee to ult is far too jarring imo, everything feels so dumbed down in ult. Not to mention the fighter economy is heavily tilted towards trap and projectile users

@happymonkeyfish yeah, i think of them as completely seperate. I like ult but its so slow and defensive, and combos are basically non-existant comparatively cus ult has defensive mechanics that usually just beat offensive mechanics so you have to do really like specific combos. Also the best thing about melee is how much freedom it gives you and ult just doesnt have that
