Yoshiro Kimura is a game creator now turned indie, known for his work on moon, Chulip, Rule of Rose and more recently Dandy Dungeon and Million Onion Hotel. In this episode, Kimura will tell us about his career, a lifelong journey marked by many twists, companies and travels overseas.
We will follow him to some of his favorite places in the city, including Mikado, a retro game center that still showcases many games from Kimura’s childhood.

I’ve been a huge fan of Yoshiro Kimura since I first played Chulip & have been following his work since- Onion Games has to be my favorite group of devs because of the thought and creativity emanating from their games. Both Dandy Dungeon and Million Onion are fantastic experiences: this video is an incredible homage to an amazing creator. Very smooth editing with an engaging presentation, I’m subscribing for sure :) love the format and care that went into making this.

Yeah same here. I’ve never actually gotten to play any of his games, I’ve only watched them. But even through just watching Rule of Rose, it became one of my favorite pieces of media ever made. I hope I get to play it at some point in my life, because I adore this guy’s games. So yeah, you’re not the only one at all
