As a purveyor of fine sorting algorithms, I just want to make you aware of how "organized packaging vs chaos" dice placement is going to scale. Sure it's faster over 6 feet, but once it's 20 feet long the travel time to go pick more dice immediately outweighs. We're talking an O(n) algorithm vs a O(x^n) one.

Its nice how you guys line up the dice. But does it have to be place by hand? Maybe Crazy Ed can make a thing to drop a bunch of the and as you walk with it drops the dice lineup. Kind of a dice tower lining all of them.

You guys should get a big funnel, with a piece of PVC pipe attached to it that has the inner diameter of the dice used. Use the funnel as a hopper, and see if you can get the dice to slide from the hopper down the PVC pipe to the ground in a line. If the dice HAVE to be touching, then maybe you have the pipes be interchangeable, and taken off the hopper to be able turn the dice out onto the road and tightened up while another pipe is filling. That way you could make progress on your line in increments of whatever length pipe you get.

Just a thought: Could you take a length of 3/4 inch pvc (maybe 4 feet), put one end on the ground then fill it up with dice so they’re stacked inside the pvc. Then just tilt the pvc and drag it along the line and have the dice fall out in a row. Then someone could follow behind and just clean up the line as you go.
