@actioninmyphannypack8 ай бұрын
@@jonathandoliver1 I did watch the game, which is how I know Rudy was one on one with Jokic 9 times, allowing him to score 8 of those. Not good at all. But there were also over 100 possessions for the Nuggets that game, and Rudy played 40 minutes, while Jokic played 41. Most of the game was with Rudy roaming the paint playing free safety to deter shots. Yes, he was dogshit against Jokic. I'd be foolish to deny that. But Jokic was having one of those games where he just couldn't miss, no matter how well he was being defended. Besides, Rudy isn't a post defender. He's a shot blocker and paint intimidator. Jokic is a bad matchup for everyone, especially someone who is best used as a roamer
@Knightmare02598 ай бұрын
I think the match up was bad for Denver from the start. Jokic's best bet was actually the Gobert matchup because it removes the backline. Aaron Gordon standing in the dunker's spot left Gobert in his favorite position. Also, Minnesota is the only team with the length to guard the Jokic Murray inverted Pick and Roll. Overall, Minnesota was built for this matchup and they executed. The better team won this series.

The average game was decided by 20 points, yet at least we got a very good ending cap, although it was still a three possession game. For Edwards, he seems to be a playoff riser, as he was a merely decent, above-average player in the regular season, with a Net On/Off of +2.8, below-average when it comes to shooting efficiency, and a BPM of 3.3, which while nice, is not close to elite. Yet, through 11 games this postseason, he has an On/Off rating of +9.3, has raised his True Shooting percentage to a good mark of 62.4%, and his BPM is a great 8.4. He was not close to a great regular season player, but he has been elite this postseason.

I think your Celtics point is a little overblown. Yes, the front office's job is to get players that would help better the team, but the players that got them this far have been on the team for a minute now. Payton Pritchard has really stepped his game up, and Sam hauser has made the most of his minutes - though he could be a lot better. Jt, despite his offensive woes thus far until recently, has still shown growth from a facilitation and defensive perspective, etc. I think that with white, holiday, and KP you have players that can do specific things that the main core couldn't. What I’m looking forward to see is watching ant guard kyrie and to see if KAT can go off because I don’t think there’s a player on the mavs that can guard him. The media secretly hates all foreign born players right now because it looks like they are taking over the league and they overly gassing Anthony Edwards up.

Just comes to show how players have to watch that “dynasty” word… Because what the hell are the defending champs doing losing two closeout games one by 45 and the other by blowing a 20 point lead in 7 minutes?

You don't make someone the face of the league, they become it.

Obviously the Nuggets lost because they werent enough to win. But where do we think the problem lies. Jokic The starting five The bench The coach These are our options. The fact that they flip flopped between winning and getting stomped makes me think it was fatigue which makes me believe that its a weak bench.

I think also the reason Jokic wasn’t that aggressive in the 4th he didn’t get a chance to have a break and sit down he should’ve sat in the last 3 minutes in the third and then play the whole 4th and also Denver has no depth and no wing defender ant was getting anything he wanted he’s a great player but my lord can the nuggets try to stay in front of him
