Great video! If I could go back a year ago and give myself advice, I would tell myself to raise my prices! My gross profit was pretty much non existent. I would also do exactly what Anton said: learn to sell, and market and build your brand!

It depends on your goals and long term vision. Having your name in it definitely ties it to your identity more. Google likes brands these days so whatever you name it, you want to build a solid brand around it.

@@chuckthecontractor As of right now it is just my "last name - construction" I am either going to stick with it and keep it, or change now and then market the hell out of it. I already have google reviews, and from what I've researched they can carry over to new business name fairly easily. So many names seem to be taken so just curious if you think it seems small-time to have your name in it when future goal is to hire guys, be off the tools, and run it as a business from the outside. I'm only 3-4 years in so I feel I want to decide now and stick with it for life. Love your content!

@@codwarefareplayer I would weigh the pros and cons. Also, Google the name and see who else pops up. Ideally, you name it something that someone else hasn't already branded really well. You don't want people Googling your name and finding another company. That's the biggest thing. AS for hiring guys, you can do that with any name. If you plan on selling the company, that's when it can be an issue if it's named after you.
