Texture is super important. A great example: Tapu Koko ex texturing is INSANE the way it shows the waves down the card and does this spherical effect on the setting sun. Love that shit

The one thing I do like is that Prismatic Evolutions is following the path of Crown Zenith. Multiple possible hits of the current generation's "Big hit" rarity(Like Zenith and the alt arts). Just have to see if the pull rates are good or abysmal.

When I first saw terastralization in the Scarlet and Violet leaks, I thought they looked like stained glass murals, and that's clearly partially what tpc was going for as all these terastral cards seem to go that way. People may like or dislike it, but I don't think the art form itself is here to stay. The next generation will bring a new gimmicks and all the card art will play into that, we all know this, or we all should know this. But I guess every set is someone's first.

My hot take is I haven't forgotten that people now use ct scans to reveal what's in sealed products yet they are running out in flocks more then ever to collect sealed for investment and Pokemon has never been printed like it has in recent years my prediction modern Pokemon sealed products become similar to trading cards of the 90s... "A lot of takes..." Dude, when I got into the hobby like 5 years ago, I had no idea how multi-faceted the hobby is. Speaking of faceted, lets talk about the jeweled Tera Eeveelutions (how's that for a segway, haha). I think with the newer "stellar" versions, the mons look a little better. The hats are more symmetrical and balanced. They're not all wonky like the first bunch of tera mons. That said tho, it still looks kinda meh. These crytalized mons just don't look as good on cardboard as they do in a game. I get why people could like them. I get why a lot don't.

I like the SWSH ones better, but I'm more of a fan of cards with a scene as opposed to abstract like most of these Prismatic Evolutions ones are which are all kind of similar in a way. But PE are not bad, just not as good as the SWSH ones IMO.

Late to the video but I guess I'll toss my take. I prefer the art of the SWSH era alt arts a lot more. Espeon Vmax makes me swoon every time I see it. The full arts of the Vs are all amazing like EVERY single one. However. The uniformity and the style of the Terastal SIRs I feel are going to be prettier in the binder. They look almost worth breaking my rule and placing them in their own section instead of separated into their respective Eeveelution sections. So as an Eevee loving Buizel, I'm quite literally AS interested in this set as I was Eevee Heroes.

Nah. people went crazy after Obsidian flames charizard came out with the tin foil hat and hated SV since then. I actually don't mind the crown even though it looks stupid on some. I think Pikachu should not have a crown but balloons instead as a flying tera type so it can be like flying pikachu if we are going by the scarlet- violet tera raid.

I like them all besides Jolteon Vaporeon and Flareon. We shouldn’t really compare them with the Vmax alt arts, both are great. Umbreon being quite symmetrical makes it look even cooler, easily gonna be the chase, and it’s my favorite Pokémon 😁

The gigantimax red clouds around the heads is the same exact concept as the gemstone crowns. The only difference is the medium used to visually portray the headdress. Both sit atop the head like a crown and both swirl in a circular fashion. I can't be the only person who noticed the correlation between the two.
