I am confident going onto a client's property, knowing what needs to be done. Quoting or estimating, not so much. Just did a job the other day and flat out mentioned a man hour rate. Good thing I didn't because once I pruned out the shrubs, there was a lot of weeding to do(more than the eye could see initially). Their bill ended up being just over $1600. I pruned and my workers weeded. Clients were happy and didn't question the invoice.

What's funny about this is, I'm a tree guy and when I bid tree jobs I'm also looking around for "landscaping" things they might need. Bush trimming/blackberry removal/stump grinding etc.

closing high ticket deals is exactly like pulling chicks. If you come across as desperate and put the customer on a pedestal, they have zero respect for you and what you have to offer. However if you march in with your head held high and give off the aura that you are so busy (so flooded with women) that you're not going to haggle and plead for the job, all of a sudden you flipped the script on them, and now they find themselves needing you. You have to pretend you're a hot commodity, weather you are or not.

Keith I went from making $30 a day to sometimes making $200-$800 a day all because you put me on this path. From the bottom of my heart, thank you brotha.

Bradford Pear trees the most over planted tree in the Michigan suburban McMansion landscape and now classified as an “invasive” by Michigan’s DNR. A cheap tree to purchase but expensive to own. You’re lucky to get 15yrs out of it and then you have to pay to have it removed, the stump ground and a new tree purchased and planted. So many better choices available that are better looking, better for the natural environment and longer lived.

You can get that ah-ha moment too. Just do a "Competitive Pricing Analysis" Get 3 or 4 of your competitors to quote a job in your type of work. You will probably be shocked at what their prices are. And how much higher that some of their prices are than yours. I thought my prices were really high. But when I did a Competitive Pricing Analysis (got a few quotes from my competitors) I found out that there were prices much higher than mine. That was a confidence boost to close the sale. A big Ah-ha moment for me.

A lot of people won't know what you are talking about.. but those of us that have watched you forever definitely know.. it's hard when you grow up poor and don't understand that people will pay these prices all day.. just be confident and don't put yourself in your customers shoes financially.

Keith, I also want to point out. This video is another great video. However, what I believe should be included in the video is that you shouldn’t have scarcity, but you will not get the money without the skills needed to do a higher level job belief that the business is out there, a high-level service plus the skills needed to get the job done the way the customer wants it done

I met a guy that had a general contractor license. I met him at a time when he was struggling. I told him I'd help him with a project at his house as an extra hand for him as a friend. He was using hand tools to put together a deck. He had some power tools. He didn't know how to use them. He was hand turning a screwdriver on deck screws and I grabbed my impact driver, put a bit on it, and started knocking out screws. He asked me how I got the bit into the impact driver chuck. I showed him to pull the collar back and it'll slide in and lock in with the collar forward. He is either the world's greatest actor, or he legit didn't know how to use an impact drill. He says he never has to do the work with his business because what he does is find people who need things done, and then find someone who has a good portfolio of doing that thing, and then he charges the customer above what the guy he finds says he can do it for, and he just takes the difference to live on. He's a professional middle-man. And I was disgusted and didn't go back the next day.

I found that improving my appearance through branding and first impressions with customers im able to price as high as the guy who taught me. Im skipping years of problems because of some confidence and a clean look. Id love to see you talk about how to get the snowball rolling downhill, aka getting more clients from a smaller base

Similar to palm tree trimming in Arizona. $250 per small-medium palm. $350+ for larger.

I also live in Arizona and I’ve been getting ridiculously under cut on palm trees to the point where I don’t feel it’s even worth it for me. There’s guys doing palms for 50$ per palm . Just wanted to see how you are able to get 250-350$ per palm when I can’t even get a customer to pay 120$ because there’s some one else going around doing them for much much cheaper .

For me personally, whenever I have a conversation face to face, I always remove sunglasses as we approach each other. To show that person a certain level of respect and give them a sense of integrity and honesty. But that's just my personal opinion and choice.
