This has been my ultimate dream car since I was a young teen in the 60's and is one reason why I bought myself a brand new factory custom Honda CRX ("the poor man's Porsche") in the late 80's, right after the new body style debuted. God how I loved that car, the most fun I've ever had driving! And I drove it a lot, put over 100k miles on it in under 4 years, hahaha. I'm 70 now and know I'll never own a 911, but I do have my eyes on a Miata...go, granny, go!

Love the video, did have a 911 Turbo. Great cars. I'm now driving a Carrera 4S. Didn't notice you do it in the video, but I thought I'd mention a couple of things. #1. The carpet floor in the frunk is removable. Stuff can get underneath it. #2. The rear seat bases are velcroed in place. These can be removed to clean underneath because stuff can get blown in there too. Really enjoyed the video. Great techniques.

I'm not being negative or condescending when I say this. Porsche never put a Turbo V6 in the 911. It's a flat 6 "boxer" style engine. Again, I'm not criticizing, just educating.... so to speak. Love the videos.

Not a supercar, bro. It’s a great daily with AWD and around 400hp. This is a 996 turbo, first of the water-cooled after the air-cooled 993. I’ve worked on hundreds of Porsche vehicles and restored a few. I helped my buddy in the early 2000’s modify his 996 turbo to 600bhp+ and the turbo lag was horrendous. The 996 was far different from the 993 and legacy 911’s, the hand-built era was gone and we all noticed.

Great job as always - even if the transformation wasn't that big this time! Considering that this car is 22 years old it looks stunning! I don't think 187,471 km is a lot. If the car was only driven 6 months per year, that's 132 months in 22 years, which would give a monthly average of 1,420 km. That's absolutely average mileage even for Germany. Of course, we in Germany have a completely different perception of distances, considering that Germany, with its 85 million inhabitants, is barely as big (357,600 km²) as the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador... 😁 Greetings and love from Germany, Sabine

8:54 911's have Flat 6 engines, not V6. The more technical term is a Horizontally Opposed engine. Due to the firing order of the pistons, it is unlike a V6, even a 180 degree V6 which in appearance will look "flat" as well, but it is not a flat 6

Amazing job, always love your videos! Was wondering if you have any tips for detailing vehicles outside in the sun? I don't have access to anywhere under cover to wash my truck, and I find the soap dries too fast durning the summer for me to be able to give a good wash before I can rinse off. So I'm left with unsightly soap streaks/residue after my rinse and cloth dry :(
