I feel the same way about my dachshund, Boba (named for her black spots that look like Boba tea) When my aunt bred puppies, and I saw sweet baby Boba’s face I knew that for Christmas (last year), I would travel halfway across the country and adopt her sweet puppy face, and she truly is the best thing that happened to me. The first summer with her my closest friends had either moved or kinda stopped being my friend, and Boba was the constant friendship I needed. I couldn’t ever make a blanket for her because she’s pretty much always my cuddly, slightly annoying but everlessly adorable dog!

I love this idea and I might do the same for my sphynx cat, Oreo. He LOVES blankets but they have to be the extra thick bernat blanket. He loves to make biscuits on my daughters and I think he needs his own! 😂

First of all, love your sweatshirt! Secondly, you, Peyton and Alice are adorable! Lastly, I love this idea, I think it’s very cute, ya gotta take care of the fur baby. I’m new to crocheting. Actually, it is your videos that inspired me to learn. My Aunt tried teaching me a very long time ago when I was 10, so that was when I learned to make a chain but that is where I stopped. Fast forward 46 years later and I’m trying to teach myself. Once I retire from my job as veterinary receptionist, the plan is to sell my crafts at shows, right now, I make earrings. My husband bought me an Addi for Christmas, and I’ve already made scrunchies and hats and infinity scarves for my little grand niece and family and friends, but I’m very much a beginner at crochet but I love your videos and watch you faithfully. Hope you have a great 2024, I look forward to your videos, and hugs and kisses to little Miss Alice. ❤

Hahaha ok when you were running through Alice’s moods, I started thinking about the Dwarves from Snow White😂😂. I actually LOVE this idea! And the fact that you’re doing it both as a record of your dog AND as granny squares is so original and cool! Now I kinda wanna try this for myself and start gauging my moods. I feel like it would be a really good reflection tool. Especially because I’m not a journal person. Ooff the ideas you’ve sparked. Bank account is already crying 😂😂

It sounds like you need to make granny squares. If it is for a year, they will need to be small. That way, you can put more than one color in one day. Or maybe circles with magic ring and then 2nd row double crochet, or puffs.

I would call it a temperament blanket, sounds the same but also conveys what you're doing. my mind went to doing one for the moods, but with my kiddo.... uhm no no nope hahahaha

For Alice's moody days consider using a variegated yarn. I know you are someone who uses solids, but that's precisely the vibe variegated yarn gives.

One of my friends is going a temperature snake where he is making a snake with a row a day based on the temp. I thought that was pretty cool! But I am planning on doing a temp blanket for this year to mark my 30th birthday which is in July!

A fun idea for a non temp blanket. Maybe a scarf, gloves,hats,socks or something that be out of the ordinary and something different and fun to make.

I've never done a temperature blanket before it looks like a lot of fun. I at the moment only have 1 yarn right now and I'm mid project in making a granny square blanket. So i think my first product for 2024 will be to get the new red heart granny square yarn and sew the squares together into a blanket. I've only made one big granny square for all blankets I've made. So sewing squares together sounds like a good challenge And trying something new

I love this idea! I have pet rats and they need to be free roamed everyday so I thought it would be cute to do a free roam blanket and have a color for each amount of time. if that makes sense ❤😅
