00:00 ☕ Adding theanine to caffeine might enhance its benefits without notable side effects. 01:48 🧠 Theanine reduces adverse effects of caffeine like sleep disturbances and anxiety while preserving its cognitive benefits. 02:42 🏋♂ Combining caffeine and theanine potentially improves performance, as seen in a study on curling, suggesting broader exercise benefits. 04:04 🍵 Theanine supplementation, especially through sources like kuchika tea, is recommended for its known benefits, though more research is needed on its synergy with caffeine.

I truly don’t understand why Energy Drink companies don’t add theanine. Especially the “fitness-oriented” companies. Drinks that have theanine consistently have higher reviews than those who don’t.

Do you know how much it costs just to source all the ingredients for an energy drink, let alone find a place to manufacture it? People need to learn how to get back to basics and stop relying on modern-day potions and elixirs.

Probably because they want you to feel the increased heart rate and other physical and mental effects of very high doses of caffeine because it makes people think it is working better. People are more likely to buy something they can actually "feel" even if it is suboptimal.

Or just drink a strong tea prior. There is a classic drink in Hong Kong that mixes half coffee and half milk tea. Perhaps, they noticed the effect a long time ago.

I stopped caffeine two weeks ago, so it's funny that I see this video now. Honestly, it's been an insane amount of positives, so I don't really see myself ever drinking caffeine again. Better mood, less anxious, more energy surprisingly, more focused (caffeine just made be jittery and unfocused, which is ironic, because it's supposed to help focus), better short-term memory, better digestion, better sleep, slightly better eyesight even. Seems crazy that I had been pounding down energy drinks and coffee ever since I was 16 (I'm 31 now).

I have been both drinking tea and supplementing theanine on top of coffee for some time now. I believe it does something in terms of begin laser-focused on a task but I can't tell if it enhances my cognitives abilities while doing so. In any case, I have been doing it for such a long time that perhaps I no longer notice it because it is in the background of daily living, just as I am accustomed to caffeine. Some notes though: If you take too much theanine, it will make you tired. On the other hand, if you are prone to nightmares like me, stay away from this before sleep. I am serious, I tried it as a sleep supplement.

@Droidman12318 ай бұрын
I don't drink coffee so when I tried caffeine without L-theanine in pre workout it was my first time and I hated it. So jittery and a horrible crash. I stopped pre-workout all together. A year later I tried another one from an online gymfluencer I respect and it was amazing, low and behold, it had L-theanine. I never take caffeine without it now.

Creatine is not a protein so it doesn't denature
@timobigtv8 ай бұрын
No it does not, at around 97-125 degrees C: Commercially available creatine monohydrate starts to lose its water molecule (dehydrates). This changes its form, but isn't a complete breakdown and so it is still effective. Only above 230 degrees C does dehydrated creatine undergoes a chemical change into creatinine (a waste product your body naturally produces from creatine). So unless you are drinking your coffee at 230+ degrees C and there is no water in your coffee, you're fine mixing it
