Thanks for sharing. It's nice to see what you do as a base or on full care days. I'm curious what a daily routine is on days you don't wash your hair. Is there different prep/care for the 3 or so days between washes? How would you prep differently for an event or something when you want the best?

Prepoo scalp and strands with oil before shampooing especially if you have dryer hair or live in a dry climate . Doing a scalp massage prepoo protects the strands from the heat damage from the shower water and soap from shampoo as well as lifts dirt from the scalp

Big on the "Fellas is it gay" portion, I understand the association with handbags and women (even though they're better than jean pockets). Still, it's a weird dilemma in general. (I feel like it might become "acceptable" later on, like how rings on men are becoming more of a thing, that might just be me though)

I got a Dyson supersonic dryer because I hate money and love my hair. I didn't really see a major difference (from a normal blowdryer) but I could feel it, and it was faster. If I maintained short hair I probably wouldn't bother because the damage would never catch up to haircuts, but for anything medium length and longer it's worth it IMO.

As someone with really really "fine" hair, layers are also super necessary otherwise youre gonna have a hair-helmet. Layers layers layers layers Also, should dry with an old cotton shirt, not a microfiber towel (the shirt grabs less) and never ever rub the towel on your hair or swirl it, only press and squeeze the water out Youre using weird terms btw - thick refers to the hair shaft, whereas thin refers to the amount of hair on your head. I think you mean thick vs fine, or thin vs full? Need more clarity on whether youre talking about thick hair shafts or a lot of hair follicles Last thing - i used to use salt spray and it was good but a little drying and heavy, so i switched to "texture powder" and its weightless and malleable and soooo amazing i cant recommend it highly enough to folks with fine hair who want some easy volume without weight or lots of product

i do think though that queer ppl as a community have made advancements in fashion that designer houses will then adopt and bring into the straight mainstream, labeling more experimental (especially more effeminate or androgynous styling) fashion as queer. i also think its important to acknowledge the queer roots of experimental fashion! fashion Can be gay in its heritage, especially within the avant garde where that is often the case.

Probably, I mean, haven't done anything for it in past 3-4 years. No hairdresser visits, no trimming, no vitamins, products...0.... Just how it naturally is, as if I am a caveman. Once per week washing without shampoo. It is quite long, but I feel that it doesn't grow very fast. Maybe this makes me do something, who knows.
