I know you don't reply to many comments but I'm very interested in the conq vs phase rush choice here since I've found both have weak points in this matchup. With phase rush you have stronger scaling and the ability to escape ganks but no chance to contest in lane or fight over the wave, meaning Darius gets to control the entire topside of the map and you are boned if the wave pushes away. With Conq you can actually all-in with ignite and threaten him off the wave to push a lead if you get ahead, but playing mid-late without phase rush into certain champs can be so painful. Love to see that the cosmic insight tech to play around ignite from so long ago is still good here, adapting to this matchup is always fun, probably my favorite "unfavorable" matchup to play.

ive found conq to be way better vs darius than p/rush. for the simple fact you dont want Darius to get ahead early. Like you said you can contest way better with conq and ignite. Darius late game really isnt an issue.

Played that one Darius 1v1 perfectly: -Engage with E -Keep Q to break his W slow (and try to dadge his Q with the additional movement speed) -Silence when he is about to have 5 stacks so he cant ult -Use W when he is about to ult to mitigate the damage

But im wondering, since Darius R is true damage anyway, wouldn't the Garen W have more Value if used earlier so that it mitagates some physical damage(like a Darius Q)?

I've just hit diamond for the first time playing Garen :D I tried playing him midlane like you do and found a bit of success. I still play top more but what a discovery for me. Used not to like your Garen mid content the most but I'll watch it more from now on. I know it has nothing to do with the video sorry about that

yeah, i don't get it too, i thought it was a phase rush matchup :/ maybe it just became easier to try and out all in him rather than short trade and run away...

@@niscent_ yeah conq is better all in against darius in every way. Plus with the biscuits you out heal the bleed he creates. Just win the war of attrition.

@@d4s0n282 i used to win lane once i survived long enough for whip or old time bami. then you could short trade just with Q followed by E and item to proc phase rush and run away. i luckily didn't have to play that matchup lately, they buffed darius so much through the season to make him keep up with the big latest bs champs, it has become a really painful matchup...
