This guy works at a casino and the casino is aware of his commute, correct? I can only assume so after working there for so long. You're telling me that the casino can't figure out a way to help this 61 year old man who has been loyal to their company for however long? Thats some greedy shit I tell ya... When you hear about stories like this, then you look at the place of employment for that person. It's hard to not think less of that company, or in this case, casino.

@adammarkowitz79446 жыл бұрын
No one can walk 35 miles each way to work, that's just silly. And the narrative says he has a mini-van but can't afford to put gas in it. That's less than two gallons of gas--one way-vs. 7 hours of walking? That would be 14 hours a day of walking and 8 hours of workHard to believe. -

Sorry about my ignorance, but don't you think a bicycle or a motorcycle would have been a somewhat better solution?
@JohnHallgren10 жыл бұрын
Bicycle has multiple issues: 1) Some roads are more dangerous on bike than foot 2) If on a bike, he'd have to use it ENTIRE way cause getting rides with a bike would be difficult if not impossible 3) Weather - safer to walk in snow 4) Health issues might prevent biking but not walking 5) He is allowed to walk on interstate but bike would be illegal for sure He also may not feel safe on a motorcycle as would have to ride in traffic lanes.
