Always check your gravel tailings! I found a thumbnail size nugget, no kidding! It weight 47grams. Now, I *always* go over my tailings. I found more, but little fingernail nuggets. They amounted to a LOT. So it's always well worth checking over your classifier's tailings. It's never failed me. Ever. Great video as always, Chris. I learnt lots from you. Now here was my tip - cuz you never know!

Even when the weather is bad, the locations shown still have beautiful character. Your episodes just keep getting better and better. Filming, sound, scenery, drama, humor… too many great facets to list in my opinion. I’m beginning to wonder if you and Gadzee are, or have been, taking filming and production courses. Professional level quality all around. Stay safe out there.

Agreed mate, Im not even a prospector, I just tune in for the banter and enjoy learning about this hobby.....no chance of finding gold where I am unless its left by Romans sadly and its almost impossible to get permissions for detecting. Keep it up mate and continue developing your videos :) all the best

You had quite a few adventures this week Chris, but I kinda feel like this video was just the quick summary video although you did include some valuable nuggets of information about gold prospecting particularly here in Victoria. Stay safe and give Fern a big scratch behind the ear for me. Mark from Melbourne Australia

Can you do more of the this is what the stream looks like normally in summer or drier winters to what they are like now? I don't think many people realise that what appears to be heavey rain can have a significant impact upon waterlogged ground. This episode was excellent and as has been said in other posts here your presentation skills improve all the time, you explain what and why you do things and give good historical information about the area too, which is important as that is part of your heritage and also displays the total disregard for the land years ago and who it may have belonged too in the first place. Gold prospecting is something I will never do but watching your exploits is most enlightening and the longer episodes where you spend hours and hour prospecting with minimal reward reminds me of fishing trips around the Menai strait and elsewhere on the Anglesey coast where you can spend days waiting on a fish worth keeping. It's about being outside with thinking time and good mates when not soloing. Keep it up Chris, Gad Zee, Mick, et. al.

Wolf Creek in the Bradshaw Mts. Arizona U.S.A. I made a hole 4ft wide 10ft long and following bedrock down to about 10ft deep, with a 4 inch suction dredge. 1.56 OZ of gold. I took me 8 weekends. The weekend that I was going to finnish up and fill it back in, it RAINED, HARD. Hole gone. The next year it was a lot of removing the overburden, but once I got back down 1 ft deeper the bedrock came back up, but in that 1ft I got another ounce of gold.
