Which level of the Civil Service would you be referring to? I take it you are referring to Mandarins of Westminster and Whitehall? As a civil servant I work for my department and I have no say in what is required, I only follow procedure. All levels lower than central or local government senior civil service officer are under that rule. Like members of the armed forces we don't get a say in what actions we are required to perform. So, when you say you don't want a civil service - what exactly do you mean? I can tell you this, if we were all out of work today, the nation would not work from that moment on. Politicians talk bs, we do the work. If you have a problem with what we do, speak to your local MP and ask for changes to be made for how things work, if you got the service improved I for one would be delighted as I'm sure many of my colleagues would be too.

Trumps error. So the question is what do you have to do to drain the swamp? The answer is information. For example, it would be reasonable to get the full liabilities of the state pension systems. Currently that's hidden. Then you tip someone off to FOI for it. Then you make the announcement in Parliament that its been hidden and the fraud squad have been called in. Announce you will send everyone an annual statement with their share, as they have a right to know. So what does the swamp do? It can't rehide the data. One thing that nobody ever addresses is the total rip off of the cost of care homes for the elderly. That is most definitely part of the ‘you will own nothing and be happy’ agenda. This basically means that elders cannot so easily leave their homes to their children if they need extra care. And pretty much all of these elders have paid taxes and NI their whole working lives so have more than already paid. Oh, and if someone wants to live with their ageing parent, to provide care, they would have to sell the house, if their parent later needed to move into a care home, and make themselves homeless. It’s outrageous.

We the people should never allow elected officials to misrepresent us ever again. Do you want 15 minute cities ? - press A for yes, B for no. Do you want a 20 MPH speed limit etc The existing system is broken and is out of order on all fronts.

Why not make it a full on legal contract. No delivery of it. No government. And no adding things on not voted for. Otherwise the same, no government.
