i really kinda appreciate how the writer/director has wille stuck in the trauma, the shock, the paralysis, the back n forth decisions of coming out the first time. it's well explored

It’s not widely discussed but August doesn’t have ADHD. He’s using the medication as a stimulant to prevent him from getting tired in any activity. The drug increases focus and attention, usually used non-medically in the academic setting. Often abused by students in western countries. August says he needs the medication to be “in top form.” So he is not using it for an illness but to help maintain his image as a perfect student that his peers look up to.

Also the timing of the release of this series is good with Hungary’s anti gay law coming into effect. It’s actually hard to believe Hungary is a member of the same EU that my country is a part of.

I thought their first kiss was perfect. Edwin was doing such a fantastic job at communicating Wille's indecision, that he is unwilling or unable or simply not ready to label himself as gay, but he still wants Simon, regardless of labels. This commitment from both sides is beautiful to watch. They are literally meeting half-way, both to the best of their capabilities. For Simon, it's easier to kiss a boy because he knows his own sexuality, so he volunteers to take that step, but it's Wille who overcomes his insecurity and apprehension about this new area and makes Simon stay. He gathers his own courage to be honest with himself here.

A lot of people have talked about Wille’s “I’m not- I’m not-“ and there are a lot of theories that actually Wille was saying “I’m not good at this” or maybe “I’m not sure about my sexuality” etc ! Instead of “I’m not gay” :))

OK, I’m finally caught up, but I’m not sure I will get to the third episode before you post about it tomorrow. And the show is growing on me. I noticed on the first video people in the comments comparing it to “Love, Victor,” but it has a very different feel to me, and I think it’s doing very different things. I also don’t feel the need to compare two different things and insisting that one is better than the other when they are very different from each other. So I’m very glad the two of you are not doing that.

Thank you for not spoiling anything, but we should warn Corey and viewers: episodes 1-3 are set ups for the intense drama to follow in 4-5-6 with heart break, tears, some good romance and sex, and then of course, the grand finale. This show delivers a roller coaster of emotions and I'm still processing them.
