For this collab series, I think it's very beneficial for us to have a quick rundown of the athlete's warmup. Pros will know what warmup to do and its effects, but for most of us, it's just a matter of following best practices. Knowing what and how they do it would be amazing for injury mitigation.

Is it really a life goal of yours? Or just something you're curious to try? If it's a life goal don't give up! Keep giving it your all and in time you'll reach these heights if you've got the genetics and drive... And steroids
@smirbelbirbel2 ай бұрын
I want to partake in a Natural Competition in 2027. It's my goal to bring something to the stage that I'm proud of and give it all I can. If that results in any kind of win is not up to me. It's up to the judges, and to who else turns up on that day. A bunch of people who are just as dedicated as I am and are no less deserving. It doesn't matter. If you love the process and it's your dream to be up on stage, do it! Let go of results. The dice will fall as they will.
@VeteranVandal2 ай бұрын
Well... The pro card isn't for everyone. You need to tolerate what the drying will do to your body - and it'll suck - and you kinda need to be genetically very good in the exactly right places. That's rare, and expensive. Just going for general fitness is fine. Besides the attempt will shave a few years of life down the road. Train more, see if you have the prerequisites in the future.
@annelieniedzwitzki13892 ай бұрын
Thanks for the words of encouragement y'all! It's not really something that bothers me that much, and all I really care about is enjoying the process and being the best version of myself 👌 I just made the comment just to put into perspective how insane of an achievement getting a pro card is 😭

Eric makes a great point, with greater focus on the more specifc muscles being the main pulling force it takes less weight to stimuli them, and that might come at the cost of speed and power on the concentric but when they are tired powering through fast on the concentric will incorporate other muscles more but the specifc muscles are already so toasted they will still be the limiting facto

Nice to see you guys address erector thickness as opposed to just lats. This is why guys who deadlift always have the thickest erectors. These flexion rows basically mimic a heavy deadlift with some flexion while not giving near as much systemic or axial fatigue. I’m a powerlifter but if I ever do bodybuilding focused training I’d do these every back day to maintain my entire back. Not just lats. Whenever I see bodybuilders talk about back it’s almost like they don’t even realize lats aren’t the only muscle in the back. Far from it.
