This is why you need to keep repeating in different ways. My experience today timed perfectly with this talk. An experience of cessation of the gross and emergence of the subtle. Without separation. The only “practice” if you can call it that is noticing and self enquiry, never on a cushion and only when it arises. The heavy lifting is grace.

at some point, teaching becomes more about style as the medium for the transmission, and you are a master stylist; so helpful to have this view available on a KZbin channel... if ever there was an authentic and skillful use of social media!! a continued thanks~

Wow my experience that you're getting better and i'm understanding more just merged? 😂 Watched your interview on gaspump. It may get a lot busier in here. Oh and those extra pages 😉 more books I sense. I have changed more in the few months since I found you, than in 30yrs of seeking. Thank you. 🙃❤💜

Hey KK... 👋😄 "Finally you can rest as Life Itself".... your senses are the portals." THIS! 👆💯 Be Here Now as Ram Dass said. Be Presence... this is IT... Here-Now... Also, a quote from one of my fave movies that is so applicable here: " Roads?! Where we're going we don't need roads! " - Doc Brown to Marty McFly. 🚀✨✨ Am halfway through the Batgap. AMAZE-ing! A-DOGGMD is on fire. yeah, it's becoming a cluster f in here 😂... I love it! Blessings and XX💖 to ya 😜

@@KK-qd6ro Sweet, KK😁 I also thought it was rather well done. Angelo really got a lotta ground covered in the 2nd half. What I liked the most about it was the demystifying of that first shift. He said it's basically "here" now only, and always. So it's not far off in the future (mental construct: thought projection.) It's also simply what is here in front of your face (via sense gates.) This clears up a ton! Here's a friendly tip: try cultivate a sense of calm (the reason meditation is promoted as a "tool"). Channel Buddha Nature. I've been doing this at work. People are noticing a change. Result! So chill... Cool as a cuke 😎🥒 Work through the non dual Playlist on this channel. There are great little practices + tutorials. Angelo reckons this is a "leaning into" kinda thing. You relax your way into experiencing non dual reality aka "seeing clearly" 👁️... start with the sound sense as this is the easiest access point. It's fun! Also, resting in the "I AM" sense is hugely helpful because it makes Self Inquiry more clear, especially when zooming in on subtler thoughts. So this sense of Being is who you feel you are intrinsically, before even a thought enters the fray that says, "I AM". Prior to... find this space and dwell there... This whole process is about questioning every single thought/doubt/belief solidifying and referring to a subjective "me". Understanding is easier than Realizing it. Dig deep at the root of even the subtlest sense of "I", and pursue it like a fox. What else? Hmmmmm - oh yeah Rupert Spira has a cool new guided visualization series coming out soon. Amped for that. This is how I hash out my ideas and work out my mental snags BTW... hone in on some poor unwitting commenter 🤣 and figure out my next move! 😎 Lucky you KK! 😜 Hope you remain healthy, wealthy & strong :))) Take good care xxx 💕💕

@@nat998 Not unwitting at all😃 I use this method too. It is the one useful thing about words. Conversation happens in the conversng.I think thats why a good therapist is one that just listens. 🤔🙃 Just listening to the doc seems to have an affect, before even doing the practises. I'm not so good with the written word. cause even when the dictionary says they're right, they still look weird to me. 🙃🤣 Lucky you Nat😜 All the best. ❤💜

The question that I keep coming back to is what the hell motivated us/me/God/whatever to come to this place of separation and suffering? I'm guessing it was intentional so there must be some value in it, or it may not have any deeper reason than "we did it because we can."
@SimplyAlwaysAwake
@SimplyAlwaysAwake 2 жыл бұрын
I’m not even sure there’s a reason. Bc what reason is there for anything other than what we impute onto it? I think it’s just a sort of side effect of processing with a complex nervous system

Wow! Yes, the subtle thoughts of subject/object in the senses was totally overlooked here. But now it’s very obvious. Always the „me“ in relation to what is perceived. This is very tricky. But now I can find out how to look without a looker (this is the most difficult one), to hear without a hearer, to smell without a smeller (this one is easy - I guess), to taste without a taster (easy too - or just completely overlooked?) and to touch and feel the contact without the feeler (this is tricky too) Maybe you could guide us in short videos in learning how to get there. Thank you so much for your clear and understandable videos 🙏

Great video. Somehow you always say what I need to hear in this moment. One question is I’ve heard you say how meditation and samadhi are not necessary on this pathless path. When practicing things like being in the senses or inquiry, isn’t it helpful to start from a place of stillness and one-pointedness where the mind is quiet? Secondly, is there a difference between Samadhi in Zen and the sense of I Am? Maybe this is why I’m confused, I feel like they’re pointing to the same thing. So where I’m at is resting in the “I Am” is equally an important practice to Samadhi. I know these are just concepts and I’m really trying to ask this from a more experiential/intuitive place rather than an analytical one.
@SimplyAlwaysAwake

Pure sense of I am is a form of samadhi yes. When working with the senses it is not necessary to be in deep concentration or one pointed attention, you can do it in usual situations with usual objects of sensing around you :)

Heyyy angelo, is there a post enlightenment 'practice' that one can choose to do after they have realised their true nature? Of course it would be done knowing that there is no seperate entity doing the practice. Would love to know your view!

It depends on what one’s experience of the seeming external works is. If there is still the perception of boundaries/objects I would recommend any of the contemplations from the non-duality playlist. If there are contractions and reactivity then doing equanimity work. There can be clear seeing there is no separate self but there can still be selfing.

All viewpoints are relational. We could also call them perspectives, opinions, attitudes, beliefs, desires, aversions, likes and dislikes, etc. They all establish and reinforce a dualistic juxtaposition between subject and object, and while some of them are cherished and can make us happy or guide us toward an ethical life and actions, many of them cause a lot of trouble and even misery for the one holding the viewpoint and even the people around that person. So, I’d say that there are positive viewpoints and negative ones. Of course, that’s a viewpoint also, so it’s really impossible to have zero viewpoints in an apparently dualistic world unless we never cogitate about the world in which we apparently live. That is, it’s impossible to never take a position as a subject relative to anything as an object. Even something apparently trivial, like “I’d like to drink a glass of water” is a dualistic relationship, and it can’t be avoided. The problem arises when we get attached to our viewpoints such that they induce resistance to what is, which is a state of negativity, which is suffering. We’ve all seen the kid at the grocery store utterly flip out and have a tantrum because he/she can’t have some candy or a toy. They lose their freaking minds and scream and roll around on the floor like a lunatic, all because they are resisting the status quo of not having “X” and they’re attached to attaining the new status quo of attaining “X.” Whenever we want some THING, whether it’s a situation, a material object, the avoidance of something, etc., it has power over us. The candy bar or toy at the grocery store, in combination with the child’s programming, has induced a painful dualistic relationship in the mind of the child and the viewpoint (relationship) that’s been established in the kid’s mind has essentially possessed the child. Clearly, this has neurological causes, which have been selected for through evolution. Without ambition and desire and aversions, we would all have been lazy bums on the veldt who eventually got taken out by a lion or a snake. Humanity wouldn’t have evolved and would have gone extinct a long time ago if we couldn’t operate effectively in a dualistic world. BUT, many of our opinions, feelings, and thoughts are totally unneeded and harmful. We can learn which ones serve us and which don’t and go beyond harmful viewpoints.

Thank you for your comments. I do have to clarify here thought that with deeper stage realization the subject-object experience does literally dissolve. It's quite something when it happens as well. The experience of being in relation to things simply goes away or rather is seen to never have been. This is a huge step in the deepening experience of radical intimacy. I know it's impossible to imagine but it does indeed occur. :)

I love your videos but sometimes when I listen and hear that gross thought is gone after the first awakening. I wonder again if it’s possible to have a job that requires a lot of thought and analysis. When it comes to jobs I can see the universe has never steered me wrong. I intuitively feel that this is my path and your book says our current life is perfect…but how can someone keep up with responsibilities that require analysis.
@SimplyAlwaysAwake

groiss thought isn't gone, but identity is largely disentangled from it. This is not easy to recognize as such BTW for the paractitioner, it is only in retrospect with deeper realization that the process becomes more transparent :)
