The last one is definitely broad brushing something that is generally normal, I think it was a miscommunication on their part. As someone who studied psychology at university, I was with them the whole video until they tried to paint something that was the norm for most of modern human history as being something you fantasize about because you are needy or anxious. They should have prefaced that by saying "While passionate, romantic fantasies are generally normal, fantasizing about highly idealized story-like/disney style romances like Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast can be due to feeling lonely, insecure, etc." which is true.

@@phoenifox I think “unlucky” is what ultimately makes this situation both easier and harder to deal with. Easier because it’s not necessarily our fault that we can’t find the right person who feels as strongly as we do, it’s just the hand we’ve been dealt. Sometimes it’s just about being at the right place at the right time, and we don’t know when or where that will be. But also harder because it means there’s not a whole lot we can do, and it’s completely unfair that many others know what it truly feels like to be loved for who and what they are as if it was handed to them on a silver platter. They were the “lucky” ones in that scenario. I don’t blame myself for what’s been done to me, at least not the majority of it. I’ve made my own mistakes along the way, I’ve never been perfect, but I don’t believe I deserve the abandonment I’ve received. I can’t say “I love myself”, but I have respect for myself and I live by my own standards. Unfortunately not all that long ago, someone who I genuinely thought might have been my special someone, ran away from my life without even properly saying goodbye. Hence my continued feeling of always being betrayed. I’ll find someone in the future who will make me happy and I them, I have no doubt about it. I’m just currently still in the process of moving on from my most recent heartbreak. It doesn’t help that I’ve developed issues with building trust too, but at least I’m aware of it. The ratios are becoming less balanced and romance is unfortunately feeling more like a fairy tale to a lot of people. I still believe in love, I still believe in romance, and I still believe in showing someone else what it truly means to feel those things. Also to be true to self and not be false and bond/yoked to society dictates and conformity to the masses which stunts my inner personal growth and inner journey.. and of further discovery to what truly works for self. Confronting both aspects of self as well therefore becoming whole and complete via the inner landscapes and inner journey ..on the path of self discovery and finding my true authentic self... also to find what works for me personally and what doesn't and needs to be tossed to the curb as it were.
