I broke my ankle a few years ago when I was at work in the bookstore I managed and there was only one customer in the store. She called 911 for me and then I asked her to help me take my shoe off because I didn’t want the paramedics to cut my shoe off. When the paramedics got to the store, they asked why my shoe was off and even though they weren’t happy that I had taken it off, they did admit that they would have cut it off instead of untying it and removing it. I was so glad I made that decision since it still have those shoes 6 years later and love them.

This happened to my teenaged son. Broke his collar bone playing touch football that devolved into tackling. He was wearing his favorite t-shirt. In the ER he was told that he would need to have the shirt cut off from his body. He resisted that idea, so the nurse said, "Fine. Just take the shirt off, then." My son couldn't, and the shirt was cut off. We did sew it back together but it had a Frankenstein-like appearance after that.

Dislocated my shoulder once, bad enough that I couldn’t really figure out how to get it to pop back and same thing. Nurse says “we’re going to have to cut your shirt off” “cut my shirt and I’ll cut you” Turns out wrestling a t shirt off your head is how you get your shoulder to pop back into place.

I'm a biker, and my mother and I treat our animals like family. So, her "dog" was my little brother, so she bought him a biker jacket, shades, and a rag. 😎 A Chihuahua. I love my mother. I kept rats. My 1st was Odin. Rats are extremely intelligent. He potty trained himself so he could sleep with me and at 6 am I would take my meds every day. He learned this and started to wake me up himself and worked a food, cleaning, and bathroom break while I took my meds then he'd let me know when he was ready to come back. Had him almost 4yrs. Their lives are way too short. I was told it is because of the way they are bred, to make them friendlier. They make beautiful friends if you can handle the "5min" they're alive. Very loyal.
