I had to add my two cents so that you can make a new video. I’m a Dashlink Driver, and I had a customer report a package not received. They didn’t deactivate me, but the policy clearly states that you can be deactivated (even your regular Dasher account. I tried to post a screenshot to you, but couldn’t. I’ll try to post it somewhere within this thread if I can.

The rule I always have is one one dollar for 1 mile, cause you gotta think about the wear and tear on your vehicle plus gas

I would do it still because its all about the money for me and not about the miles. Its just because I not doing this for the rest of my life. I just want to save up money quickly to move on from this. If I drive up to 150 miles, I will just do Door Dash, Uber Eats of where I end up.
@artisticboundariesАй бұрын
That is exactly how I look at it!!!
@slimtim1782Ай бұрын
Miles are money. Gas isnt cheap and the more you drive the more you spend. You have to factor in that expense against what you make.
@artisticboundariesАй бұрын
@@slimtim1782 Man that works for anything. Do you "factor in" how far you have to drive to work for a decent salary or do you just take the job and hope for the best!?!? People keep worrying about the petty things with this gig work thing. Either make the money, drive the runs or don't!!! I will dash ANYWHERE!!! If a run sends me 20 miles for $25 I'll dash there for a bit and work my way back. This is NOT a job... this is a hustle... plain and simple. When folks look at it for just that they will make money...

I typed in the youtube search 'how to perform brain surgery' & the 1st video that popped up, was this guy wearing scrubs w/his flat top. When I searched 'how to chase a tornado', this guy popped up again in a rain coast w/his flat top blowing in the wind. Good to know youtube is a great platform for objective information.

I think they probably factor in interstate portions of the route. Assuming you're going 70 miles an hour and you're racking up those miles quickly.
@hidarling641Ай бұрын
the thing about interstate is it's more efficient on your car because it's mostly straight shots going super fast, so it's less gas use than the same miles in a city or even many winding country roads.

Oh wow I never knew about a waitlist. I just randomly received a dash link order. Lol As far as earnings, it’s worth it! So far the offers I got was always $149+.The only part I hate is having to scan every single package especially if it’s a lot of them or if the barcodes can’t be scanned.

Correct if you accept a amazon flex block but don't like the route and refuse it then it goes against your standing. It only takes a couple of those and you get deactivated. The only thing you can control is warehouse location the hour of the block and pay. Taking high pay only at least helps when you get trash routes. You cancel 45 min before shift or 5 min if you accepted below 45 min mark.
@BajaXPАй бұрын
A dashlink glitch up on me and it unassigned the dashlik order which equated to like 8% drop on CR. Almost got deactivation. Called to get it fix and they said, "don't worry just do another 100 orders".
@allenfrischАй бұрын
I'd try it once. It depends on how much time it takes to complete the route. It also depends on if the route ends at or near your starting point.
@JamesBaker-o8mАй бұрын
I’d rather do an assigned route than hope to get offers. My market is over saturated in Lexington KY. College started back up, so that helped a bit with getting scheduled. Either way I like knowing what I have and what I will make.

Very good night here in Raleigh. 2-3 dollar peak pay. I averaged $25 a hour for the first time in a long time. I also saw the distance pay. We do have dash link in Raleigh, but the location where it is located is kind of far away. I have screenshots of my promo page, and my delivery wages.

Commuting for food delivery versus warehouse delivery depends on area. In my rural area the Walmart is 3 miles from the only cluster of restaurants. So I would still be stuck in a commuting back to "warehouse" style because the only 6 restaurants and dollar general like I said are still 3 miles from Walmart. So, for my area Spark is better and I am not losing by doing the warehouse run because of the way my market is laid out.
@brookecoufferАй бұрын
@@amypoole30 Yeah, our warehouse for Dashlink is in Durham, I live in Raleigh and I mostly doordash on the weekends. I would have to drive to a market closer to the warehouse to opt in for it. I have the 4 markets I like filtered and try to schedule whoever has the best peak pay. If no one does, I stay closer to home. I'll drive/commute to a farther market on the weekends when they have good peak pay or distance pay.

Well I have determined my vehicle gets 25 mpg city. But for the sake of not thinking I'm making more than I am I say 20mpg. Gas here in Wichita is 2.99per gallon. That means I'm paying .1495 cents per mile for gas. But I'm gonna round it to 15 cents. Per 10 miles, I would be losing 1.50. so long as I'm making more than 1.50 per 10 miles , I'm making profit. I used to turn down a lot of orders but I wasn't doing the math just seeing the numbers.

You will have to trade in your car by the end of the week. These delivery companies are killing the middle class. The pay does not match the miles. Stop wasting your time.

Do you mind explaining if you know, what are we actually delivering? I know it’s packages but when did DD become an Amazon? Do they sell like video games, GUCCI purses, belts, hats, electronics? I mean is there a website that you buy stuff on DD now? That’s what I’m going crazy to understand. Do you know? I can’t find any info on this anywhere? Thanks if you can explain. 😊

Exactly.I have a e bike and most it can do is fifty miles, i'm going to be upgrading a battery upgrade on it. The only downs are about electric bikes.Every two thousand or three thousand miles, you have to relube the electric motor, and on top of that, those orders are large, the only way that would work is if I hooked up my trailer that can handle three hundred and fifty pounds meant for a bicycle
