I really don't get it: of the many channels on Thailand this is actually one which offers better quality content. Maybe you have some kind of jealous competitor who flagged some videos or reported them to KZbin for copyright issues. For the rest KZbin staff doesn't seam to investigate closely a channel when there are disputes, not reallising for some people it's an important source of income: you're literally in the hands of a multinational and an algorhytm. Anyway, if someone of KZbin is reading this: maybe in some videos there could be copyright related issues, but when a creator takes care of this, it doesn't justify simply robbing someone who has put enormous effort to grow their channel and offer well researched content to simply cut them off. The success and popularity of KZbin now poses a different problem: Big Brother decides who can create content and can also easily cut them off. For me this was one of the far better content channels on Thailand so I really don't get it.

I would tweet if I could, but I don't use that platform. Being a watcher of your videos, the only thing I can think of that could trigger the youtube police would be the reading of commentary from anonymous posts from expat forums. I can see some of those dudes ratting you out for reading their comments about women verbatim. To cover yourself, it might be a good idea to overlay some of your own opinions on top of the reading of the comments. At the end of the day, we really don't know what youtube is flagging. The KZbin game is getting harder. Nobody can take away your e-mail list from you. Send some valuable e-mail blasts multiple times per week. Anything informational can also be links to interesting articles. In between promote some affiliate offers that resonate with your audience. Thai language courses, Tour guides or even partnerships with Thai language teachers or something like that could bring in revenue. Lots of potential to get into partnerships.

@@Keyframe5 The reason for lack of list growth might be that your free ebook offer isn't that much interesting anymore. So many people are doing this kind of giveaway these days. The main reason why people subscribe to you is your video content. You might be able to offer exclusive videos that won't be posted on KZbin as bait. The reason why some people might unsubscribe because they just don't know anymore who you are. You're not on top of their mind by not engaging with them that much. They mainly got on the list cause they wanted the freebie. With some type of e-mail series with a soap opera sequence you can get people hooked on your e-mails craving for more. Just write all sorts of stuff like your writing to a friend and stay on top of mind. People these days have their attention everywhere. I learned from some wealthy marketers/entrepreneurs that they send to their list every single day. For the simple reason they do make more money at the end of the month. But it's not just promotional emails. I mean there are quite some people who promote even some shitty stuff and they make an average of $1 per 1 subscriber on the list. $1000 per month for a 1000 people list. But they grow their list quick mainly by using paid traffic methods like FB Ads, while offering their freebie (like your ebook) which is much faster than your organic way of doing it. I know I make it sound easy. No bad intentions. I am like that. Grateful for all the content that you provided all this time.

I think recording yourself talking on camera outside with a small microphone will increase your chances a lot. people seeing your face and you talking instead of stock footage and AI voice. your english is fine. you have to do that and also set many past videos to private when you reapply for monetization. I think they did it because of the AI voice and many videos seem to use stock footage. so even if you bought that footage like you said then it can upset them. also any content that is made for men is being targeted so you have to be extra careful bro. I still think it’s ridiculous but maybe that’s why. Try using your own footage for videos from now on if possible man and keep showing your face. if you are talking about subjects, you can edit it footage or pictures in the corner maybe. but i think showing your face and talking with your real voice is the most important aspect. don’t get discouraged.

Lol Regarding my channel being demonetized, it had nothing to do about attacking Thailand. it was due to a number of factors, including changes to KZbin's policies and guidelines, as well as a misunderstanding of some of my content. or at least that's what they said lol As someone who is both Thai/Canadian, I have a deep love and respect for Thailand and its people. Lol the second time. I have 100+ videos that have my face. But youtube doesn't promote them, but they are there. Although many are now deleted because of the demonetization.

@@Keyframe5 I don't think this is the time or place to start a discussion on monetizing, but since the other guy started it I can only say that thousands of views are enough for "other revenue", if you had millions of views you'd probably be a millionaire. Maybe you're thinking about the deals so many people got with 2-3 companies, like VPN advertising, Masterclass, Grammarly. I understand these companies may not have interest in you, but getting some personal links for, for example, some hotels and some apps or banks, it might do the trick. I have no idea what KZbin is thinking about "repetitive" content though, maybe you didn't score well with the Like button.

I truly appreciate the suggestions you have given me for the second channel. I will definitely keep them in mind. However, there are other factors that I have to consider as well. The demonetization of my channel has taken away my main source of income, which I have been relying on for years. Although I have some savings left, it will only last me for a limited time. If my appeal doesn't work, I will have to find a way to pay my bills and put food on the table. I am thinking of working in Bangkok and doing this on the side, but I'm not sure what the future holds. I had a small channel and same thing happened to me. The good news is that I barely put any effort into it. Unfortunately, KZbin is so vague as to what I did wrong. I've seen other content creators use the exact same clips that I have and their channel is fine. I really don't know how the algorithm determines what's right and what's wrong.

F KZbin, I was publishing old movies in the public domain, some of them over 100 years old (so no, I wasn't hurting the artists, they have all passed away). I monetized my videos to pay for the hardware and source material. YT allowed people to make claims on these public domain films because of the music in them, which were all in the public domain. People were making free monetization on my work, and I had enough after about 2 years of fighting it. I decided f it, I'm not letting some a holes steal money off of my efforts. I deleted the channel that had well over 10,000 subs and was growing. You can always make another channel and let us know about it, you'll lose subs in the progress but you would be able to maintain a good amount. Better than starting from zero, good luck.

I'm no expert but have watched many videos regarding being a youtube creator. From what I understand youtube is really clamping down on AI voices and other automated content. There are many services providing AI voices and story script writing now. Many people started automating video creation using AI tools solely to make money. From what youtube content creation instructors are saying is automated/AI generated content is no longer being monetized. I have not heard of using licensed videos, photos etc being a problem. It's said the big thing to avoid is the AI generated voices. Your accent is fine, you don't need to change the audio on your videos. Again, I'm not a big youtuber and no expert but I have already heard of your exact issue a while ago regarding other channels. Perhaps start a new channel and using AI tools in the future. Then use this channel to make people aware you have a new channel. Just an idea. If you can somehow file an appeal and just remove any videos youtube is concerned about that would be better. First step. Request a human review. Thats pretty easy but as you stated, you'll wait 2-3 weeks. Next step request a list of the videos that are in question. But, yes, you are correct, its using other channel's videos that triggers their "repetitive" label. Best of luck man. Peace.

I actually did appeal the demonetization, but unfortunately, I still need to remove a bunch of videos. After that, I will have to reapply for KZbin ads in 31 days. However, the problem is that I don't know which videos I need to remove, and KZbin won't tell me. They said it's another department that handled the demonetization. The support staff couldn't help me with that. Maybe its time to go back to Canada

Man, just look at my last video about the death sentence. It took me over a month to put that together. If that was considered reused content because I was using news clips and pictures from BKKPost, and I still get penalized for it, I don't know if I want to continue being on this platform.

You may trigger the system even if you use stock photos that you paid for or even royalty-free footage and have a license for it, because other people may have used the same thing. I think KZbin wants only original videos and is now cracking down on this. Even if I have footage that I filmed, but I reuse or loop it, that may trigger the system. So, the only solution for me is to either hire someone to film new footage or do it myself, but that takes a lot of resources, or to put my face in the video. I don't know I want to continue with youtube or start a new channel. I think they are heading to a new direction, which I don't have the resource to do.

I just ran into your page.. ..but why rely on a job that stresses you..? Relying on sites then complying when Co's alter to suit their needs is truly stressful. The amount of redtape to what was once totally free, is surely coming from a bigger committee.. Thanks for the input. I get where you're coming from, but I had to adapt to keep my channel running. Vlogs and cost of living videos weren't covering my expenses. I needed to make ends meet, and those changes were necessary for me. I wish things were different, but it's not as simple as it looks from the outside. But if you're only making minimum wage after 5 years of effort, then this could be a sign that this was not the right path for you and it's time to make some big changes. Perhaps a new channel with totally different content or even a new line of work. You look like a young and intelligent man and it's always sad to see someone like you wasting years of their youth going down a dead end career path. This demonetization may be a blessing in disguise to finally force you to wake up and see that your youth can be better spent on more productive pursuits. Good luck to you!

Thank you for your advice. If I had not started this KZbin channel and had instead worked in Canada, I would have a million dollars by now. However, I am not after money; I wanted freedom. Over the past year, I finally figured out the KZbin game and was gaining momentum. But with this situation, maybe it is for the best. Although I was dreaming of moving to Chiang Mai next year, I think that might not happen.

Yeah, but guess what? There are no rules in KZbin guidelines and policies regarding AI voice. I even asked the KZbin staff, and they said it was fine. So, there are so many contradictions, it's confusing. People are telling me to open a new channel, but the rules are confusing, and there is really no point when you can just get hit for any reason.
